True Recreation

A discussion with guest caller Sister Sharon Zeismer on 26th November 2023.

[00:00:01] In Internet Radio, Wilderness – Right In the Wild, Every Week It's not just knowing about the doctrine in the Bible, That is not what we're standing for here This congregation may never be gathered together as we see.

[00:00:25] Voice in the world in this internet radio, light in the world every week. Good evening. Welcome to Voice in the world in this internet radio. We are streaming live under internet from London. This show is dedicated to God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

[00:01:02] On tonight's show we will be studying the subject, true recreation. It will be looking at what the Bible teaches. Our guest speaker is based in West Virginia in the United States of America. Have a pen and paper ready to write them some notes.

[00:01:26] We'll hear more about our guest after we've had some music. A garden of green with flowering trees in unjaded with light. It was paradise for their boots of the air. On the rivers of air on soft rainbow hills, many too good to raise.

[00:02:19] On the Bible is a gift that paradise lost to the world. On the Bible is a gift that paradise lost. For lost I have been in the midst of their home. Stood a tree all alone, Godhead said of the tree of its food to not hate.

[00:03:14] But the tent did not hate. And we're sorry to late for the garden was lost, such as their hood past. On the Bible is a gift that paradise lost to the world. On the Bible is a gift that paradise lost.

[00:04:04] For lost I have been in the midst of their home. On the first dying leaf, brought a great wave of grief to the man and his wife, who had forfeited life, but in God's perfect plan, the extent and his hand, let me store to him life,

[00:04:42] through the man Jesus Christ. As was me, the paradise lost to the world. On the first dying leaf, on the first dying leaf, is the paradise lost. Through recreation, we will be studying the subject tonight with sister Sharon Zizma. Sister Sharon is a Christian health educator,

[00:05:53] in the areas of natural health, diet and nutrition, hydropharipy, medicinal herbs, and alternative home remedies. She has taught health courses in seven different states in the United States of America, and in Germany, Hungary, Serbia, and England, and currently runs the B-Hive Lifestyle Center in Berkeley Springs in America.

[00:06:21] Let's now call Sister Sharon. I'm sure she's available. Hello. Sister Sharon, you are live on voice and wilderness in the natural area. How are you, Dysedin? I'm doing fine. Brother John, how are you? Yes, I'm fine. I got this grace. Yes, praise the Lord.

[00:07:00] Yes, I'm past the gym. He is doing quite well. Yes, quite well. We're glad to hear so. Well, tonight, Sister Sharon, we will be discussing these questions together. What is recreation? What directions does God give us about recreation? How has sin affected our recreation?

[00:07:23] What reform is needed with recreation? And how can we practically carry this out? So before we start our discussion this evening, as usual, should we have a word of prayer please together? Yes. Our father and heaven, we are praising you for another opportunity of coming together.

[00:07:44] And Lord, this is the last one. But we thank you so much for the things that you have shared with our minds. So that Lord, we can be able to apply things in our own personal lives. And tonight, your Lord, I'm asking your presence with us again.

[00:08:04] We have felt it and we have realized it. And we need it again this evening because we don't want to be in the way of what you have to say to us. And we don't want to make these things our own ideas.

[00:08:18] But we really, Lord, want to hear from you. So we thank you again for hearing us. And we praise your name for being our father and Jesus name, amen. Amen. Sister-Shawn, what is recreation?

[00:08:39] Well, the term recreation appears to have been used in English first in the late 14th century, first in the sense of regrettment or curing of a sick person. It was derived from the Latin regarding again, or curing out of it.

[00:09:07] And it was to create, bring forth the get. The whole point of recreation is the original Latin word just a second. I want to make sure that I say that right? And it is really the whole part of it is implying to refresh, to renew.

[00:09:38] And after a week of being around behind the desk you might feel worn out and tired. A week in the recreation does good in bringing us back to life.

[00:09:49] So we need to get out and actually spend some time really recreating being recreated, not that we create, but being recreated. Give us new life to something. It's to redo or remake. We can't help but remember the original creation. And this is one phrase in the beginning.

[00:10:19] God created the heavens and the earth. Then you go to Genesis 2 7, and it says the Lord God or man of the dust of the ground, and breathe into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

[00:10:35] You go to chapter 2 verse 1 to 3, thus the heavens and earth were finished and all the host of them. From the 7th day God ended his work which he had made, and he rested on the 7th day from all his work which he had made.

[00:10:51] And God blessed the 7th day and sanctified it because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. So we will be chapter 20 of Exodus to verses 8 3, 11, and I'm going to share those. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.

[00:11:11] Six days shall thou labor and do all thy work, but the 7th day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. In it thou should not do any work. Thou nor thy son nor thy daughter.

[00:11:24] Thy man's servant nor thy maid's servant nor thy cattle nor thy stranger that is within my gates. Well why is all of that? Because verse 11 brings out for in six days the Lord made that is he created or brought forth the heavens and earth.

[00:11:41] The sea and all that in them is and rested the 7th day, wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and holiday. So we see the Sabbath as a memorial to creation. So keeping the Sabbath day would be participating in a weekly re-creation.

[00:12:01] So we remember the definition to recreate or recreate means to give new life to something or redo or remake. So the Sabbath is the epitome of recreation since its restored in. So what does it mean in history? Well the term recreation appears to have been used first.

[00:12:27] Once again in the 14th century it was in the sense of refreshment or curing of a sick person. Yes, yes. You know bringing them back. And so it was derived from that re again. And creating that's how you pronounce it. Create to create or bring forth or beget.

[00:12:50] So the question is let me ask you this is amusement the same is recreation or recreation. When true to its name re creation tends to strengthen and build a calling us aside from our ordinary cares.

[00:13:13] Thus it affords or reply supplies refreshment for mind and body and enables us to return with vigor to the earnest or steady work of life. So amusement on the other hand is sought for the sake of pleasure and is often carried to success.

[00:13:33] It absorbs the energies that are required for use for work thus or in this way it proves a hindrance to life's true success. That's from a book called Education page 2018. Also doing something fun, you know it kind of fills you with amusement.

[00:13:53] You know it it it abuses it entertains and anyway you get that feeling of being amused. It is all amusement bad. You know I'll give you a couple of examples little kittens playing together. That that that that amuses me.

[00:14:16] I'll be bearing into its mother's face and it's trying to communicate and you just picture this you know it's trying to cool. And you know they just go, ooh ooh and the hands are trying to do it.

[00:14:31] And they're just looking at that mother's face that's very amusing in that same. But it's you can actually benefit from these two examples you can learn something from them. Now there's a stage amusement and that stage amusement doesn't have a redeeming value as being benefit.

[00:14:53] What do I mean by stage you do know sports games? There's always the possibility of of terrible injuries actually and then also you have comedies and movies. What is the meaning of the verb you know listen to this the definition of amusement is an activity that is diverting.

[00:15:18] That holds the attention. So what does divert mean? It means to cause something or someone to change direction. Diversion and activity that diverts the mind from tedious or serious concerns and entertaining past time. A amusement is a diversion. So what comes to your mind?

[00:15:44] You know you'd think of television, theaters, sports, many aspects of the internet even. But could amusement, which is an entertaining past time possibly divert our minds from something extremely serious such as crysoon coming.

[00:16:03] Another interpretation divert is to deliberately take someone's attention from something by making them think about or notice other things. So divert is deliberate action and also it'll take away attention by bringing up new issues.

[00:16:25] And therefore direct people's attention is the second coming of Christ downplayed so much that the world is unaware of the truth of it anymore. And it's evidence the evidence of his return. Have churches lost their focus and gone the way of the world.

[00:16:47] Do we now favor entertaining pastors listening to feel good sermons? Do we now favor entertaining music that comes so cold with them and sounds of the world? It's very scary. Creation and recreation come from God and where does amusement come from?

[00:17:13] So the meaning of amusement in English to feeling a being entertained or made to laugh. Ecclesiusty's three one to everything there's a season and there's a time for every purpose under the sun.

[00:17:29] A time to laugh, a time to mourn in a time to dance all these things there's a time but it's not always necessary not always. The the main focus. Recreation benefits your mind and body in a harmonious way.

[00:17:53] It's going to develop the mental, the physical while being drawn towards the spiritual. And so in looking at recreation it is not amusement but rather a restoration. And it brings us into harmony with our creator. Yes. Amen.

[00:18:15] Well, this is the show and thank you for that comprehensive answer. Garnon, you're not out anything there's more than enough therefore this is to focus upon and meditate upon. And so now what directions does God give us about recreation? Well we have to go to his word.

[00:18:39] And mark 631 to 34 says and he said to them, come hear yourselves apart into a desert place and rest a while for there were many coming and going. They had no leisure meaning no spare time. Another version says that Jesus and his apostles didn't even have time to eat.

[00:19:04] So leisure refers to the free time that people can spend away from their everyday responsibilities in regards to work domestic. To rest and relax and enjoy life. God expects us to get away where you can spend time that includes contemplating Christ.

[00:19:28] Recreation especially in nature brings our brains to relax and stimulates us cognitively which results in greater productivity later in work. So Matthew 11 28 and 30 says come to me all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest.

[00:19:54] Take my yoga for me and learn of me for I am gentle and humble and hard and you will find rest for your souls for my yoke is easy and my burden is light. You know spending time in the word of God is a recreation.

[00:20:12] That's a recreation. The son of God is truly the source of wisdom and example so again God repeats that rest is found in him. And so on the 32 verse 2 he makes me lie down and green pastures. He leads me beside quiet orders he restores my soul.

[00:20:35] There's the restoration aspect again God does all this for us. Ecclesi and please. No, not that one recreation benefits mind and body in a harmonious way developing the mental, the physical while drawing towards the spiritual I repeat that again.

[00:20:55] So keep in mind when you're looking at recreation it is not amusement but rather a restoration. Thus bringing us into harmony with our creator so if we look at it this way then we know that the things that we do.

[00:21:12] Can not block that out. It should not block our attention from our savior.

[00:21:19] Look at 14. The seed which fell among the thorns these are the ones who have heard and they go on their way but they're soaked with the worries the riches the pleasures of this world and bring no fruit to maturity.

[00:21:40] So that's another decoy you know those sort of things to keep us from really reaching our potential with God that re-created being that he's trying to restore us into. So those things destroyed let's see there are many, many scriptures here and I'm going over some.

[00:22:06] Proverbs 21 11 17 pardon me says he who loves pleasure will become a poor man. He loves wine and oil will not become rich.

[00:22:20] And we look at that what is it about pleasure becoming a poor man you know you put all your time in your money into those things and we're going to bring that out a little later under one of the other questions.

[00:22:36] Isaiah says, well to those who rise early in the morning Isaiah 5. 11 that they may pursue strong drink who stay up late in the evening that wine may inflame there some people that say, well I find drinking very pleasurable.

[00:22:54] At first sight it does appear that way, but Proverbs 23 31 and 32 say don't gaze at the line seeing how red it is, how it sparkles in the cup. How smoothly it goes down. Or in the end it bites like a poisonous snake.

[00:23:14] It stings like a diaper or a member of getting a report back from some of my fellow workers that our bonds this was some years ago that she really made a fool of herself one night when they all went out and drank and and she was dancing on the table.

[00:23:34] In a restaurant. Which is crazy. Luke 15 13 says, and not many days later the younger son gathered everything together went on a journey into a distant country and there he squandered his estate with loose living. We know how this ended up he ended up in a pig.

[00:23:58] But still his father received him back. Thank God. Found in our own pig pins in life, you know because of our squandering, our time, our money, our means whatever. We we must go back to the original plan so to speak.

[00:24:17] We must go back and get out in and his way of how he intended us to live. Anyway, second Timothy talks about. Those lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. James five talks about those that live it looks seriously on this earth and.

[00:24:39] You know how you fatten your hearts in the day of slaughter, you know we we tend to get diverted. From the real good news and then aim as six one said, well to those that are at ease in Zion.

[00:24:56] That's the church and to those who feel secure in the mountains of Samaria. It says the distinguished man or the foremost of nations to whom the house of Israel comes we are not to mimic what we see in the world.

[00:25:13] You know how they entertain how they find their recreation so to speak, their false recreation. We we can find a lot of pleasure and and good things. In the things that God approves of a joyful heart with medicine.

[00:25:35] But a broken spirit drives the bone property of 1722 says so it's God's purpose to with people. With people the principles of his kingdom that in life and character they may reveal these principles he desires to separate from the customs habits the practices of the world.

[00:25:57] He seeks to bring them near to himself that he may make known to them his will. His purpose for his people today he wants to come close to us he wants us to understand look I have plans for you.

[00:26:11] I have a purpose for you and in the same as today it's the same. As that that he had for Israel. He brought them forth and he bit and by beholding the goodness and the mercy, the justice, the love of God revealed in his church.

[00:26:32] The world is to have a representation of his character so we must be separate from it. And in order to really represent so that others can be drawn and when the law of God is thus exemplified in the life.

[00:26:49] Even the world will recognize the superiority of those who love and fear that means to reference and serve God above every other people in the world. You see it's really all about him right the one who created.

[00:27:07] Yes, more certainly you know, sister Sharon because that's the simple matter of vision and principle about this law. That applies has to be the center of everything in order for us to enjoy life and this is not what is understood by many.

[00:27:25] You see and really that when we are close to be the center of our thoughts and everything that we do and allow him to direct us in all our ways then life is far more enjoyable.

[00:27:40] Yes, so and the law is looking for his witnesses on this earth to prove the fact. You see, so I mean I know that from my experience thus far in life and so does yourself and your husband and all those who have an experience in the Lord.

[00:27:58] So this is it's you know it's for you to taste and see for yourself that the Lord is good and allow him to be in all your thoughts and in all your activities and to ask him.

[00:28:12] If you're not sure what things would you like me to do Lord, you know, the for me to find happiness and to please you see and that's why sister Sharon is principles because that's why the Bible's given to us. It's our guidebook for happiness.

[00:28:28] And the last thing that I say is look not those Christians who have mournful faces and always in in in the mood because that isn't true Christianity.

[00:28:40] It's not it's not you're if it's in the Lord and it's in him that you'll find joy because as sister Sharon said the Lord is seeking to draw us to himself the source of all happiness and pleasure.

[00:28:53] So I just want to just to add these words as well as we now move on to how has sin now affected of a creation.

[00:29:03] Well, you know, I'm going to share some some averages, you know, just some things for us to look at how did Americans spend their days in 2022.

[00:29:15] The most popular leisure activity was watching television, which the average person spent nearly three hours a day doing and then I looked at well how much time does the average person spend in praying. 18 minutes only 18 minutes. The global recreation market size grew from.

[00:29:43] 1,443.83 billion in 2022 to 1,923 as a compound annual growth rate. And this is the recreation market is there an economic agenda for recreation well outdoor recreation including hunting. Bishing hiking wild live watching boating is big business they say it brings day and overnight visitors to an area.

[00:30:28] And communities reap the economic benefits when visitors buy meals and snacks stay overnight in hotels by specialized equipment. He released land and paid for travel costs.

[00:30:44] So it is a big economic agenda to it because they get us all hyped up, you know, when they show these things on television, they've got the music building with it and excite everythings excited excitement you know,

[00:31:03] you know, and everything you see, the is just so much excitement that people are drawn to it. What? Well, these are some of the things that I see where sin has affected our recreation.

[00:31:23] And it is drawn us away from the true purpose as I brought out in the first section. We see that we are caught up in the now, the present, or looking forward to the weekend of the same.

[00:31:43] You know, the races, the games, the foods and all the things that are stimulating to us. And we look forward to that, or we look forward to coming home and sitting down in front of the television set. And like we said, maybe three hours at that.

[00:32:06] So we definitely see that it has affected us. It has affected us. And so God has always calling us back, and the reason why he's calling us back is because of his original plan in restoration. Why he sent his son.

[00:32:30] I mean, his son came on a very, very expensive mission to just simply let it all go. No, he wants to restore us. He wants to bring his drink. He wants to be with us.

[00:32:44] And you know, according to the book of Revelation and even in the last part of Isaiah, we see that God wants to be with us. He wants to restore us and bring us back. And he, it is his plan to dwell with us.

[00:33:05] He's even going to bring us sitting down, you know, to this made new and we will be able to then understand really what recreation was all about. Yes. You know, I like to also share, this is one of the three years of life.

[00:33:26] I was in the early 16th and the early 49th because this is one aspect of sin and recreation that's always stuck in my mind. And this is talking about Sodom.

[00:33:38] He said, if all this was the iniquity of the sister Sodom, it says pride, fullness of bread and abundance of eyedowness was in her and in her daughters. And here's the point that always strikes me sister Sharon, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

[00:33:59] And so we see that look what sin does, it causes people to forget the poor and needy and to become lazy and proud of one's own achievements and to amuse oneself of these thoughts.

[00:34:12] You see, so as you said, all this excitement is all based upon getting the person to focus upon themselves and to spend money upon themselves. And to forget that the reason that we're here is not for self but to serve and to help others, you see.

[00:34:28] So I just want to share that as well, this is because this is the thing that, you know, God wants to recreate us in his image and it's the glory of God to give. You see, but these are these amusements and and and the worldly sports.

[00:34:47] They all are focusing you to focus upon yourself. You see, it's a spend money upon yourself. Really that money is you know that you spend in it's going into the hands of of all the large corporations and all the main businesses.

[00:35:03] You see and and they don't take care of the poor, you know, they're not using of their excess to help the man of all men on the street who's struggling.

[00:35:13] You see, so you see, but as sister Sharon has been sharing when we allow the law to guide us he will take all these things into consideration and a lot of time that's wasted even just watching television. Many people can go out and visit someone and help them.

[00:35:29] And that's the loop. And I'm going to bring that in one of these too. Okay, well, I shall say no more sister. Oh, no, okay. Yes. No, it's okay because it's in a greenant. Yes. And that's the important thing. No, I'm sitting here going.

[00:35:46] Thank the Lord, you know, I'm glad that it's being brought out. Yes, you know, because this is really what life is about. Receive and the blessings that God has given to us and share in it with others.

[00:35:58] You know, these are the things that will create us in his image by his spirit and by his grace. So anyway, Yes, small certainly. So yes, so have you got anything more to say on point field show you move on to do a form? Okay.

[00:36:19] So now then, so what before misneeded with recreation? The show. Well, it is a getting back to the true purpose and that is to never leave out the recreation part. You know, we, you know, it's not recreation recreation. It's recreation. Yeah.

[00:36:39] And you know, we learn from the things that, you know, in this age, life has become artificial. Yeah. Very artificial. Oh, my. I think of the things that I used to watch on TV growing up and even the cartoon.

[00:36:55] And I thought that they were just sold innocent, but there was still killing. There was still. Yeah. Terrible. We're happening things that made children feel that they were invincible. Yeah. That they found back just like those characters did.

[00:37:13] So that was a false recreation that we grew up with. And then as time went on, you know, we saw that it was, you know, it is gotten worse and worse and worse and worse.

[00:37:26] And to the place that I decided I didn't want to television in my home. And I haven't had for years because. And now when you go to someone's house to visit them and something is on,

[00:37:40] you just about gasping put your hand over your mouth because you can't believe. But what happens is we become. They sensitized to like that we don't hear the profanity. We don't hear. We don't see the vulgarity. We just don't see it anymore because we have become.

[00:38:02] We've been sensitized. So what reform is needed? We've got to go back to the blueprint. We've got to go back to the word of God and see what is pure. You know, the Bible tells us what so everything's our pure. What so everything's our lovely.

[00:38:22] What so everything's our honest. What so everything's our. I'm sorry, pure and of a and of a good report. If there's virtue, if there's praise, we're to think on those things. So that is like the most important is to re.

[00:38:40] Direct our own thinking and God is the one who helps us do that because he's the restore of paths to dwell in. Yes. The restore of paths to dwell in so we have to re focus the mind right now. And then to practice these things that we're learning.

[00:39:05] Yes. Yes. To get away from the artificial. Yes, to get away from the art of fish. We did generate it. Man has degenerated from the purpose God had for while we may not return fully to the simple habits of those things those early times.

[00:39:25] We can still learn from them lessons that will make our our seasons of recreation. What a name implies seasons of up. For body mind and soul. So we need to learn lessons, you know, we can learn them in nature. Oh, yes.

[00:39:45] We're being things, you know, the Bible says consider the aunt that's that's sluggards. You know, tells us look at how the aunt works. You know, look at how the aunt takes care of things.

[00:39:59] You don't see the aunt sitting back with its legs folded and you know, simply being entertained by a bumblebee or buy something else it's diligent. Yes. You know, it's very diligent. And I'm sure it has its time of rest. It's not a machine, you know,

[00:40:19] but we could learn from from the things of nature and also to return to those simple habits. We can't do it fully, but we still can habituate ourselves to take that time in contemplation of God and his created works. We can do that.

[00:40:41] You know, so that is something that's really, really needed. Learn these things from nature, learn these things from one another. And to also just get be drawn to a more simpler, less complex way of life.

[00:41:01] You know, I know that even for yourself you have a lot of work to do and I have a lot of work to do. But sometimes I just make myself walk outside. Yes.

[00:41:14] And I just take myself a little walk, I'll go in the garden, I'll look at, I'll watch the birds. I'll bend time talking to God about the things that I'm seeing thinking here. That's another thing.

[00:41:30] You know, giving, giving praise to God is restoring as well because it's focusing off of us and you know, you were, it's funny because you were talking about the focus on us.

[00:41:45] And when you talk about practically carrying it out, that's when I, that was the first thing I wrote down. She's not focusing on us. Focus on someone else, on something else. But I'm gonna say what it is not. You know, sometimes we, you know, me and mine is,

[00:42:10] it's not just me, but mine, my child. So all my focus can be on my child, which is not the best either or all my focus could be on my pet. All my focus, you know, can be on, and, you know, the building of my house to the,

[00:42:33] the mining furniture, the clothing that I wear. You know, the focus can be all mixed up in that way. You know, but all of it is me and mine, my car, you know, my status.

[00:42:49] How people see me, how they, you know, and instead of how do they see Jesus in me is Jesus shining out of me? Is he shining out of me? That's the most important thing. It's not about me and mine.

[00:43:07] You know, yes, I know some people that they say, well, you know, these are wealthy people. And they'll say, well, you know, I did this good thing for someone so a relative of theirs, you know. But for others, they can't reach out to them.

[00:43:21] And to do nice things for the stranger. You know, the other people, you know, that are out there.

[00:43:29] The hungry, the people that we can give teacher children, you know, to save their little nipples and dimes and buy a pair of gloves to give them in the winter time. You know, to some person that is homeless, you know, I used to take my son out.

[00:43:46] Our recreation was to go and feed the homeless and he would hold the plates and the silverware. You know, and he would, you know, I would get him to do little things that he could do in his his young life, you know, that he could participate in.

[00:44:06] And always trying to do something nice for someone. My son is always as a man today always doing nice things for people.

[00:44:18] And unfortunately, once in a while they can get taken advantage of that, you know, because people will try to take advantage of our kindness, you know, they sometimes they can see Jesus in our face, you know what I'm saying?

[00:44:34] And they can say, well, this person, I can get something over on them so to speak. But God is promised wisdom and all things has any. Yeah, give us some.

[00:44:46] So we have to really think as far as our reforms go, it's starting seeing the important things of life asking God for that wisdom to see it, you know, so that it's not as you said all about us.

[00:45:03] It's it's true purpose will be manifest, you know, a recreation, but it's not for me alone. It's for all mankind. Yes. It is for the world needs this same as I do, you know, same as you do. Everyone needs this. And so we must re-bocus.

[00:45:26] That is the greatest one is to refocus and start seeing life as it truly is in God's eyes, you know, so and asking him for that. Lord help me to see, give me your eyes. I need to see the needs.

[00:45:41] I need to see what true recreation is, what will bring me back to where I need to be, where Adam was in Eden before the fall. Yes, well certainly, you know.

[00:45:56] And as you were speaking, my mind just came to the recent break that I had and that was to the Caribbean to Grenada. And you know, this is Sharon, I didn't need no television or any other artificial entertainment. I could just look out the window.

[00:46:17] There was a beautiful ocean in front of me and I just looked at the different shades of the sky from morning to noon, you know, from the red to blue And all I was thinking about of the beauty of the Lord, as they didn't live marvellous.

[00:46:32] And to me that that was, that's what made all the day just focusing upon the beauty of nature and realizing that beauty is what Christ wants to be in me.

[00:46:42] You see, and I was sharing pictures of the wildlife and you know, it was just that was the best break that I've ever had. Why? Oh, that's the only one.

[00:46:52] You know, because I was just focusing on it was just so much to see and to, you know, all these different creatures and insects and birds and it was all joined me to the Lord. And so I was just sharing that.

[00:47:08] You know, those listed in who received the pictures and videos they know and the last point I say on that is that I was determined not to be selfish on that trip. You know, just enjoy sitting down everything for myself.

[00:47:21] I said let me share the blessings that God has given to me. Amen. And that's what brought me the greatest happiness. No one that it was making the others happy. You know, who may never even have traveled before. So so to me that was recreation that trip.

[00:47:37] That was, you know, it really helped me to to to recharge in the Lord. Yes. So I just thought to share that. But time is really very good. Yes. Okay, really, yeah, I just got back from my little mini vacation for Thanksgiving here.

[00:47:59] And I went to stay with a lady and her father. Yes. And you know, he just draws within himself because there's no one to talk to. He is 91. He has a constant headache from arthritis in his neck. And he's just kind of withdraws to himself.

[00:48:24] The television is on 24 or 7 practically. But you know what, it's nice when you can turn it off and talk with people. And you know, he did pick up and she says, wow, he just picks up every time you. You know, he sees you guys and it's beautiful.

[00:48:41] And then for herself when we left they, they, he is like, why do you have to go? Oh, yeah. And she's like, and she's like crying, you know, and saying that you,

[00:48:53] you guys can come back for Christmas and you guys can, you know, it's open any time you want to come. You know, and that's the way we want to leave. We want to make a difference in the lives of people. We want them to see Jesus in action.

[00:49:11] The extra help. The friendship, the kind is you know, and this is what we want. You know, it's not like you said and we say, it's not about us. You know, it's about how Christ to others and in this he's recreating us into his image. Into his image.

[00:49:33] Yes. Well, we've naturally moved on into the last question as we normally seem to do and that how we're practically carried this out, you know, the reform. So, and yes, all that you can be on sister, Sharon.

[00:49:48] Well, as I said before, the first thing I wrote was don't focus on you. We make time and for God's purpose and creation. You know, we don't want to bog ourselves down with work to the point that we leave out the most important part.

[00:50:05] And that's to spend time with God in the memories that he has ordained. I mean, he has exact, he has so many ways that we can spend time with him as we interact with others. We can spend time with God, you know?

[00:50:21] I'm going to share a few examples because you started spreading some of these things out because I know that God will agree with himself. You know what I'm saying? And so that was important. Sharing with those who are confined and can't get outdoors.

[00:50:40] You know, we can share with them, we can visit them, we can bring them little things to encourage them. But you know, I thought in the fall, you can just take a little while you walk.

[00:50:53] You can pick up a few fall leaves and make a bouquet in your hand and bring it to them. Or you can even take those same ones and eliminate them. And take it to them, maybe it'll last a little longer. You know, some rocks you find.

[00:51:13] You know, you can take just the handful of pretty rocks. You'd be surprised what that does to someone who is confined within their home. We can be with big people, you know?

[00:51:30] In all of this, we are being recreated into Christ imagery because he dealt with the sick ones. There was no, in some villages there was not one sick person left when he would leave. You know that's beautiful to me.

[00:51:47] I love to think of you or, you know, we can make a little meal for someone that doesn't have a meal. Or to someone who has little, you know, we can think about instead of the holidays focusing on us doing something for someone else.

[00:52:06] We can visit lonely people. They're not all sick and they're not all old. Yes. But sometimes they've lost a loved one. And sometimes they have just been hurt, really deeply. And they may stop worshiping with God and with his people, you know? Because you're so hurt.

[00:52:30] We can go and visit these sort of people. Now the other thing, and I think you alluded to this too, was just a smile at people because we shouldn't look all dead and down and angry and, you know, just showing something that's in us.

[00:52:50] We need something outside of us brought into us and let them be. There are times further John, when I felt so bad, I didn't want to walk into a building because of people that had hurt me on the inside. But I worked there.

[00:53:07] I wanted to get up and go there. And I tell you, they father put a smile on my face because I don't feel like smiling. So would you please smile through me? And I let him. I let him.

[00:53:21] And so therefore, I didn't walk around like I was beaten down. And if I felt it coming on me, I'd excuse myself, go to the restroom and pray and come back to the battle. Because it's a battle.

[00:53:36] You know, in the battles really not between us and that individual. It's between Christ and Satan. Yes. And he's been a win. And Jesus must win. Amen. So another thing is, you know, to, yes, spend time thinking about people smiling,

[00:53:52] uplifting them, bringing some little gift or baking some little thing more. Whatever it is. And then spending time in nature like I said, you know, before, you know, looking like you did at the water at the changing reflections in the sky.

[00:54:12] I painted a picture once and it's called the gathering of the waters, but it's a, it's a seascape. Yes. And it shows the water in the ocean. It shows the water on that, that has washed up, you know, the little pools. And then you look at it.

[00:54:29] And you look at the sky. And there's a reflection of part of the, the rocks in part of the, the hill and part of the sky and the clouds all in that pool. And then the wave. And it is just so amazing.

[00:54:46] You know, when I look back and the Lord, you did that. Oh, yeah. You did that. I didn't do that. And so you see this, this beauty. There's so many things that we can, we can draw from nature. Yeah. So many. We've got to spend time in it.

[00:55:03] And there's some people who just, they absolutely hate being outside. They fear bugs. They fear, you know, just, just things out there. They're, they're beautiful. But we can ask God to help us with those areas of our lives. You know,

[00:55:23] it would be a horrible thing if they were locked up and somebody threw a bug on them. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. We're telling them. You know, so we've got to overcome some things and God will help us with those things too. Like that.

[00:55:42] You know, I mentioned elderly people. We can adopt an elderly person. We can just adopt and say, I'm going to always do nice things for this person. You can rate their leaves. You can shovel their snow.

[00:55:57] You can, you can just sit with them and let them tell you all the old things and get some wisdom from them as well. Yes. You know, I know my mother-in-law shows me things. She does little things and I go, huh? That makes sense.

[00:56:13] I'm going to try that. You know. And another thing is we can adopt even children. You know, like a grandchild. You know, somebody that we could do nice things for, you know?

[00:56:26] Sometimes relieve a mother for an hour or two while they go to the store to do some shopping. You know, safe places though. We want to make sure there's some places. Well, certainly. And then, and we don't want to leave our children with just anybody.

[00:56:42] You know, we need to know people, get to know people. I like to get to know my neighbors. Yes. God created all things. You know, so all this creation, everywhere we look, whether it's people or whether it's animals or whether it's things.

[00:57:00] You know, we're not to mistreat animals. You know, we're not to go outside of them. And they are not people. But we should respect them and treat them right. You know? And then we can make worship so special that we look forward to it.

[00:57:21] You know, with that time with our creator, make make worship so special. I sometimes I get on my knees and I say, Lord, I want to sing this song to you. And I don't think a song to him, you know?

[00:57:35] And I tell him how happy he makes me feel about the things that my eyes see outside. My window. And how happy I am to hear the birds singing and how happy I am to just be able to spend some time with him when I read.

[00:57:56] Oh, Lord, look what you said. Yes. Lord, get that to me. I have such hope in you, you know? And he'll never leave me or forsake me, you know? I think of these things. These are recreative things.

[00:58:11] These things make us new and make us, but do we want to keep this to ourselves? Nope. Absolutely not. We want to share these good news with others. Make them happy and smooth, you know? So that's what I had to say about that. Yes.

[00:58:34] Well, we'll have the break for some music and welcome back with some close-in fools. When you feel less important than the smallest star and you dream of coming up today, just remember you and I know. Someone is waiting to leave away.

[00:59:20] When your life is on my way with our heart and yours, and you can decide which way to go. Just remember you're not alone. Someone is near and here and home. As you see, the life you're dreaming of, you're the flower of this love.

[01:00:00] And all until they're like a wall, and you have no land here in mine. Just remember you and I know. He has the answer. He has the tossing of life, and if you're dreaming of, use the power. When your heart runs cold, until they're like a wall,

[01:00:52] and you have no land here in mine. Just remember you and I know. He has the answer. He has the answer. Time. I feel the wearing force. True recreation. Sister Sharon, can we have some closing thoughts please? Absolutely. Revelation 21, 5 says, and he that sat upon the throne said,

[01:01:47] behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, right for these words are true and faithful. Brother John Jesus is coming soon. I would like to monitor listeners to allow God to operate in you. Your His creation. And with David and Psalms 51, 10 to 12 say,

[01:02:13] create in me a clean heart of God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy Holy Spirit from me, restore unto me the joy of your salvation and uphold me with thy free spirit. Thank you very much. Amen.

[01:02:41] Oh, Sister Sharon, show we have a way to free and I'll take all this this evening. Yes. Our Father in heaven, we know that you have been with us tonight and Lord, where the human agent is unable to express itself as we would like to,

[01:03:03] we are trusting that your Holy Spirit did a work of interpreting. And we just wanted to thank you that you've been with us this month, and I thank you, Lord, that you chose me to share and I'm overwhelmed. But I do thank you because you helped me,

[01:03:25] and I just asked a special blessing upon Brother John, upon this ministry, this work, and I ask a special blessing upon every listener, and those who will be passed this information. I just asked Lord that you'll keep us all, including myself, keep us from falling, present us faultless

[01:03:52] before the presence of your glory with exceeding joy. You're the only wise God our Savior. Be glory and majesty, dominion and power both now and forever. In Jesus name we humbly ask amen. Amen. Sister Sharon, thank you so much for joining us on voice in the wilderness,
