[00:01:47] I am crucified with Christ, therefore I no longer live
[00:01:57] Jesus Christ now lives in me
[00:02:03] I am crucified with Christ, therefore I no longer live
[00:02:10] Jesus Christ now lives in me

[00:02:25] Jesus Christ now lives in me
[00:02:41] Embrace the cross where Jesus suffered
[00:02:50] Though it will cost all you claim as yours

[00:04:35] An empty tomb concludes Gald of the sorrow
[00:04:41] Endure then till tomorrow
[00:04:46] Your cross of sin, embrace the cross
[00:04:59] Embrace the cross, the cross of Jesus
[00:05:42] Why justification and sanctification are inseparable
[00:05:49] We will discuss this subject tonight with answers from the Bible
[00:05:54] Have a pen and paper ready to write down some locks
[00:05:59] Tonight we will be discussing these questions together
[00:06:03] How many phases are there to Christ's ministry?
[00:06:07] Why are there three phases to Christ's ministry?
[00:06:12] How are justification and sanctification related to these phases?
[00:06:18] Why do people only want to believe in justification alone?
[00:06:23] And can God take people to heaven if they are not sanctified?
[00:06:28] So before we start our study this evening listeners, let us have a word of prayer together
[00:06:32] Heavenly Father, Lord we thank you once again for voicing the wilderness internet radio
[00:06:40] Streaming live on the internet from London
[00:06:46] As we study your word this evening, we actually hold this spirit to teach us
[00:06:50] And lead us and impress these truths upon our hearts is our prayer
[00:06:55] In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
[00:06:58] Amen
[00:07:03] Now how many phases are there to Christ's ministry?
[00:07:05] We read in the book of Romans chapter 8 and verses 3 to 4
[00:07:10] For what the law could not do in that he was weak through the flesh
[00:07:15] God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh
[00:07:19] And for sin, condemn sin in the flesh
[00:07:23] That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us
[00:07:27] Who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit
[00:07:30] We read in the book of 1 John chapter 3 and verse 8
[00:07:35] He that committed sin is of the devil
[00:07:38] For the devil sin is from the beginning
[00:07:41] For this purpose the son of God was manifested
[00:07:44] That he might destroy the works of the devil
[00:07:49] We read in the book of Romans chapter 5 and verse 19
[00:07:52] For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners
[00:07:57] So by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous
[00:08:01] The first phase of Christ's ministry was for him to come into sinful flesh
[00:08:08] Into fallen human nature and to condemn sin in the flesh
[00:08:13] Christ had to live the perfect life and gained victory over sin
[00:08:18] The works of the devil on behalf of the human race
[00:08:22] Where Adam had sinned and as a consequence
[00:08:25] Passed on sinful flesh as an inheritance to all his children
[00:08:30] Christ had to gain the complete victory over evil in sinful human flesh
[00:08:35] In order for him to be able to have the right to give man the power to be obedient again
[00:08:41] Christ came to prove that even though man is in fallen human nature
[00:08:46] Man can gain victory over evil during all the phases of his life experience
[00:08:51] From infanthood through teenage years on to being an adult
[00:08:59] By faith in the power of God our Lord Jesus Christ did not sin once
[00:09:05] Here's our example in all things
[00:09:08] We read in the book of John chapter 1 and verse 29
[00:09:14] The next day John as John the Baptist see if Jesus coming unto him
[00:09:18] And sayeth, Behold the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world
[00:09:25] We read in the book of 1 Peter chapter 1 and verses 18 to 19
[00:09:31] For as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things
[00:09:36] Are silver and gold from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers
[00:09:42] But with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot
[00:09:49] The second phase of Christ's ministry was for him to be the atoning sacrifice for the sin for human race
[00:09:56] He came on this earth not only to be the son of man but the father's son and representative in a human body
[00:10:04] But also to be the sacrificial lamb of God, the person who God was to lay the punishment of the sins of the whole world upon
[00:10:15] Here we can see how the first phase of Christ's ministry is linked to the second
[00:10:18] If Christ did not live a perfect life free from sin and he could not be a perfect and spot the sacrifice to atone for the broken Holy Law of God
[00:10:30] Only one equal with the law could die for the law
[00:10:34] The law of God is holy and only one who is holy could atone for the broken holy and pure law of God
[00:10:41] So Jesus, God manifesting the flesh came not only to be our example but also to be a sacrifice on our behalf
[00:10:52] He poured out his life on the cross to atone for the evil that you and I listeners of sinners have done
[00:11:01] We read in the book of Hebrews chapter 2 and verses 9 and 16 to 17
[00:11:06] But we see Jesus was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death
[00:11:12] Crowned of glory and honor that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man
[00:11:20] For verily he took not on him the nature of angels but he took on him the seed of Abraham
[00:11:26] Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren
[00:11:31] That he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God
[00:11:37] To make reconciliation for the sins of the people
[00:11:43] The third phase of Christ's ministry is one that many Christians do not study about enough
[00:11:49] It is Christ's high priestly ministry in heavenly sanctuary
[00:11:54] Christ has not only taken his blood, his life and offered it to his father as an atonement for the sins of guilty man
[00:12:01] But he also serves as our representative before him
[00:12:07] The atonement did not end at the cross listeners
[00:12:10] That is where it just started
[00:12:13] We will now look more deeper at how these three phases are related and vital for our benefit in the plan of salvation
[00:12:21] Now why are there three phases to Christ's ministry?
[00:12:27] We read in the book of John chapter 14 and verse 6
[00:12:31] Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life
[00:12:36] No man cometh unto the Father but by me
[00:12:41] We read in the book of John chapter 13 and verse 15
[00:12:45] For I have given you an example Jesus has said that you should do as I have done to you
[00:12:53] Our Lord Jesus Christ who is our Creator came to show us the way to live
[00:12:58] The first phase of our redemption involved Christ living a sinless life for us
[00:13:03] And to give us a perfect example of how the love of God is to be lived out in the life of a human being
[00:13:10] We read in the book of Matthew chapter 5 and verse 17
[00:13:16] Think not that I had come to destroy the law or the prophets Jesus says
[00:13:21] I have not come to destroy but to fulfill
[00:13:24] We read in the book of Romans chapter 5 and verses 20 to 21
[00:13:30] Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound
[00:13:34] But where sin abounded grace did much more bound
[00:13:38] That the sin have reigned unto death even so might grace reign through righteousness
[00:13:44] Unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord
[00:13:50] We read in the book of Acts chapter 4 and verse 33
[00:13:53] And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus
[00:13:58] And great grace was upon them all
[00:14:04] Jesus did not come to destroy the law of God but to fulfill it
[00:14:08] He came to give a perfect example of righteousness of the character of God
[00:14:14] God's law is a transcript or written description of his character
[00:14:19] Jesus came to show the world and the universe the nature of God
[00:14:25] By his spirit filled life we learn what it means to be sanctified and holy
[00:14:32] Grace was an attribute that God has always had
[00:14:36] It was brought into visible existence to meet the needs of sinful guilty men
[00:14:41] Through the life of Christ we see how grace reigns through righteousness
[00:14:46] In other words we see how grace is a sovereign ruling power of God's love
[00:14:52] Through the life of Christ on earth the Father revealed how the kindness and love of God towards a man rules from his throne
[00:15:00] And directs man patiently and compassionately back into the path of obedience to God's holy law
[00:15:08] Furthermore as sinful guilty men are saved from ruin through the grace of God that rules in God's heart
[00:15:15] They as partakers of that grace seek to reveal the kindness and love that they receive from God towards sinners themselves
[00:15:24] As they declare the gospel to others
[00:15:27] This is what the Lord means when he asks us to do as he has done
[00:15:32] Thus we see how God's plan of making man co-workers with him for the salvation of their fellow men
[00:15:38] Enables them to develop holy attributes of character themselves
[00:15:42] Through the power of the Holy Spirit
[00:15:45] Working through them as they submit to God's word
[00:15:48] We read in the book of Romans chapter 5 and verses 6-8
[00:15:53] For when we were yet without strength
[00:15:56] In due time Christ died for the ungodly
[00:15:59] For scarcely for a righteous man will one die
[00:16:03] Yet per adventure for a good man some would even dare to die
[00:16:07] But God commended his love toward us
[00:16:11] In that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us
[00:16:16] By the second phase of Christ's ministry is death
[00:16:21] The Bible teaches us that God commended or introduces favorably his love toward us
[00:16:28] In that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us
[00:16:33] The death of Christ reveals just how much God loves us
[00:16:37] Now listeners really think about this
[00:16:41] And ask yourself who do you admire more
[00:16:45] Someone who risks everything for you
[00:16:49] And gives everything for you
[00:16:52] Who desires to know all of your pains and sorrows
[00:16:55] And who experiences these for himself
[00:16:58] Then suffers the most shameful and painful death
[00:17:02] For all the evil things that you have done
[00:17:05] All this in order that he might know how he can reach you
[00:17:09] And give life to you
[00:17:11] So that you can be happy with him and share his love forever
[00:17:16] Or do you admire a fraud
[00:17:19] Someone who promises to be your friend
[00:17:22] And promises you riches and honor
[00:17:24] And even gives these to you
[00:17:26] Riches which he has stolen
[00:17:28] And at the same time this person is leading you to go where he is going
[00:17:32] Into the lake of fire
[00:17:34] To die an eternal death
[00:17:37] Do you really want to follow the greatest criminal in all the universe?
[00:17:40] Satan
[00:17:44] The death of Christ reveals that God was willing to die
[00:17:47] And to take personal responsibility
[00:17:49] For all the wrongs that his creatures have done
[00:17:53] What devil has given his life so that someone else can live
[00:17:58] Satan has shown the whole universe
[00:18:00] The real person that Satan really is
[00:18:03] Selfishness has its origin in him
[00:18:07] The death of Christ shows that the love of God is self-sacrificing
[00:18:12] Even to the point of death
[00:18:17] We'll have a break for some music
[00:18:37] I turned my eyes to thee
[00:18:40] Cause I found in him a loving friend
[00:18:43] Who stays with me till the very end
[00:18:46] Yes, I found in him a faithful guide
[00:18:49] He calls me his own friend
[00:18:52] And I turn my eyes to you
[00:18:55] And I turn my eyes to you
[00:18:58] And I turn my eyes to you
[00:19:01] And I turn my eyes to you
[00:19:04] And I turn my eyes to you
[00:19:07] And I turn my eyes to you
[00:19:11] Cause I found in him a faithful guide
[00:19:15] He calls me his own friend
[00:19:19] And I turn my eyes to you
[00:19:25] Cause I found in him a faithful guide
[00:19:30] And I turn my eyes to you
[00:19:34] I choose you again and again.
[00:19:40] I choose you again and again.
[00:19:46] It means so much to me, dear Lord.
[00:19:52] I choose you again.
[00:20:00] In the world of many choices,
[00:20:05] midst the call of many voices.
[00:20:11] When they all call out to greet me,
[00:20:18] I turn my eyes to thee,
[00:20:23] cause I've found in him a loving friend
[00:20:29] who stays with me till the very end.
[00:20:35] Yes, I've found in him a faithful guy.
[00:20:41] He calls me his very own.
[00:20:46] I choose you again and again.
[00:20:52] I choose you again and again.
[00:20:58] You mean so much to me, dear Lord.
[00:21:04] I choose you again.
[00:21:10] I choose you again and again.
[00:21:16] I choose you again and again.
[00:21:22] You mean so much to me, dear Lord.
[00:21:28] I choose you again.
[00:21:34] I choose you again and again.
[00:21:40] I choose you again and again.
[00:21:46] You mean so much to me, dear Lord.
[00:21:52] I choose you again.
[00:21:58] I choose you again and again.
[00:22:04] I choose you again and again.
[00:22:10] You mean so much to me, dear Lord.
[00:22:16] I choose you again.
[00:22:22] I choose you again and again.
[00:22:28] I choose you again and again.
[00:22:34] You mean so much to me, dear Lord.
[00:22:40] I choose you again.
[00:22:46] I choose you again and again.
[00:22:52] I choose you again and again.
[00:22:58] You mean so much to me, dear Lord.
[00:23:04] I choose you again.
[00:23:10] You mean so much to me, dear Lord.
[00:23:16] I choose you again.
[00:23:28] I choose you again and again.
[00:24:01] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
[00:24:29] We read in the book of Hebrews chapter 9 and verse 14.
[00:24:33] How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit, offered himself about spot to God,
[00:24:41] purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
[00:24:45] The third phase of Christ's ministry, his ministry as high priest in heavenly sanctuary,
[00:24:53] is where he has taken his blood, his life,
[00:24:57] and offered it to his father as an atonement for the sins of guilty men.
[00:25:03] It is not only where he justifies men or pardons men for their sins,
[00:25:08] but it is also where he sanctifies them and cleanses them from their sins.
[00:25:14] It is as important as the first two phases and is the most important phase,
[00:25:20] for unless this phase is completed, then all that God has previously done before
[00:25:25] can be of no real eternal benefit for mankind and universe.
[00:25:32] The atonement for mankind was not completed at the cross
[00:25:36] because the life of Christ poured out at the cross had to be accepted by God the Father in heaven
[00:25:42] in atonement for the broken law of God.
[00:25:46] Once accepted, the Godhead moved on to the next phase of the plan of salvation,
[00:25:51] given sinful, fallen human beings all the help they need and the power to gain the victory over evil.
[00:26:00] As one who knows about the struggle with sin, Christ who overcame sin
[00:26:05] is the best helper that God could give us in the battle to gain victory over evil.
[00:26:13] The gospel involves not just pardons for men since justification alone,
[00:26:18] it also involves sanctification, cleansing men's minds from the evil of sin completely.
[00:26:25] It is a lie from the devil that man can accept Jesus Christ and still live anyhow as they please.
[00:26:33] This is what you call cheap grace, to just believe in Jesus Christ with all your heart.
[00:26:39] That's all you need to do and you shall be saved.
[00:26:43] Well, listeners, the Bible teaches different.
[00:26:48] Now how are justification and sanctification related to these phases?
[00:26:53] We read the book of 1 Timothy chapter 3 and verse 16.
[00:26:57] And without controversy, great is the mystery of Godliness.
[00:27:01] God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit, seen over angels,
[00:27:08] preached unto the Gentiles, believed unto the world, received up into glory.
[00:27:15] We read in the book of John chapter 17 and verses 17-19,
[00:27:20] sanctify them through thy truth. Thy word is truth.
[00:27:24] As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
[00:27:30] And for their sakes I sanctify myself, the day also might be sanctified through the truth.
[00:27:36] We read in the book of Romans chapter 2 and verse 13,
[00:27:41] for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
[00:27:49] In the first phase of his ministry, the Bible testifies that Christ was both justified and sanctified before God.
[00:27:57] He did not sin, he was innocent, therefore he had no need to be pardoned for sin.
[00:28:04] There was not one instance where he did wrong.
[00:28:08] Christ was in a sanctified holy condition all through his life.
[00:28:14] Through the power of the Holy Spirit, he always rendered total obedience to his Father.
[00:28:20] His whole life was set apart for holy service.
[00:28:24] Thus we see that the Bible teaches that you cannot separate justification and sanctification.
[00:28:31] To be just means that you are holy, pure and innocent from sin through the indwelling Spirit of God.
[00:28:38] And to be sanctified means that you are in a holy condition, again because the Spirit of God dwells in you,
[00:28:44] empowering you to be obedient to God's holy law.
[00:28:49] As a human being, as man's substitute, Jesus was sanctified and sanctified before God.
[00:28:56] As God, Jesus has the right to pardon and cleanse men when they give their life to him.
[00:29:03] He recreates man back in his own image with his divine power through the Holy Spirit.
[00:29:09] We read in the book of Romans chapter 5 and verse 9,
[00:29:15] Much more than being now justified by his blood, he shall be saved from wrath through him.
[00:29:22] We read in the book of Hebrews chapter 9 and verse 14,
[00:29:26] How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit,
[00:29:31] Offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
[00:29:38] We read in the book of Hebrews chapter 10 and verse 29,
[00:29:43] Of how much sorrow a punishment, suppose ye, shall he be fought worthy
[00:29:48] Who have trodden underfoot the Son of God, and have counted the blood of the covenant,
[00:29:53] Wherewith he was sanctified an unholy thing, and have done despite unto the Spirit of grace.
[00:30:00] The second phase of Christ's ministry, his death on the cross,
[00:30:05] Made a provision through his precious blood to justify and to sanctify sinners.
[00:30:11] It was a practical demonstration of God's love,
[00:30:14] Showing that God was willing to die and to give his life in order to pardon
[00:30:19] And to cleanse a man from sin, and to give him eternal life.
[00:30:23] The Bible teaches clearly that our justification and sanctification
[00:30:28] Were secured by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
[00:30:33] Now listeners, ask yourselves,
[00:30:37] Why would God only pardon a man for his sins
[00:30:41] And not do anything to keep him from sinning and destroying himself?
[00:30:46] It does not make sense at all.
[00:30:49] In order to restore a man and give him eternal life,
[00:30:53] God has to not only pardon the man for his sins,
[00:30:56] But to completely cleanse him from his sins.
[00:31:00] This is in order that unhappiness and ruin
[00:31:04] Can never again mark the peace of God's eternal universe when Christ comes again.
[00:31:11] We read in the book of Hebrews chapter 9 and verses 11 to 14.
[00:31:16] But Christ being come and high priest of good things to come
[00:31:20] By a greater and more perfect tabernacle
[00:31:23] Not made with hands, that is to say not of this building
[00:31:27] Neither by the blood of goats and calves
[00:31:30] But by his own blood he entered in once in the holy place
[00:31:35] Having obtained eternal redemption for us.
[00:31:38] For if the blood of bulls and of goats
[00:31:41] And the ashes of an hypha squeakling the unclean
[00:31:44] Sanctified to the purified of the flesh
[00:31:47] How much more shall the blood of Christ
[00:31:50] Who be through the eternal spirit
[00:31:52] Offered himself without spot to God
[00:31:54] Perjo conscience from dead works to serve the living God
[00:31:58] We read in the book of 1 John chapter 1 and verse 9
[00:32:02] If we confess our sins
[00:32:05] It's faithful and just to forgive us our sins
[00:32:08] And to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
[00:32:11] We read in the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 6 and verse 20
[00:32:16] For ye are bought with a price
[00:32:19] Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit
[00:32:22] Which are gods
[00:32:25] We read in the book of 1 Timothy chapter 2 and verses 5 to 6
[00:32:30] For there is one God
[00:32:32] One mediator between God and men
[00:32:34] The man Christ Jesus
[00:32:36] Who gave himself a ransom for all
[00:32:39] To be testified in due time
[00:32:43] The atonement of God's broken law
[00:32:45] By Christ on behalf of sinners
[00:32:48] Has given God the right not only to pardon sinners
[00:32:51] But also to cleanse them as well
[00:32:54] Christ's spilled blood was given
[00:32:56] As a ransom to buy back the fallen human race
[00:32:59] Were destined to ruin
[00:33:01] Listeners, every human being on this earth
[00:33:04] Belonged to Christ
[00:33:06] Will we believe it or not
[00:33:09] I hope listeners that you can begin to see
[00:33:11] How broad and vast the plan of salvation is
[00:33:15] And how only an infinitely wise God
[00:33:18] Could have laid these plans
[00:33:20] And execute them in all hisperience
[00:33:24] Not especially the verse of 1 John chapter 1
[00:33:27] Verse 9
[00:33:29] If we confess our sins
[00:33:31] Christ is faithful and just
[00:33:33] To forgive us our sins
[00:33:35] Justification
[00:33:37] And to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
[00:33:39] Sanctification
[00:33:41] As we studied in the previous Radio broadcast
[00:33:44] This is God's promise under the new covenant
[00:33:47] To write his law in our minds
[00:33:49] In our hearts by his spirit
[00:33:51] Thus again, we see that you cannot separate
[00:33:54] Justification and sanctification
[00:33:57] The moment that a person accepts Christ
[00:34:00] And confesses their sins to God
[00:34:02] God pardons them and cleanses them
[00:34:05] At the same time
[00:34:07] There is nowhere in Scripture that states
[00:34:09] That God only pardons and that he does
[00:34:11] Not cleanse the sinner at the same time
[00:34:14] We read in the book of Galatians chapter 2
[00:34:18] And verses 17 to 20
[00:34:21] But if
[00:34:23] While we seek to be justified by Christ
[00:34:26] We ourselves are also found sinners
[00:34:29] Is therefore Christ the minister of sin?
[00:34:32] God forbid
[00:34:34] For if I build again the things which I destroyed
[00:34:37] I make myself a transgressor
[00:34:40] For I through the law am dead to the law
[00:34:42] That I might live unto God
[00:34:45] I am crucified with Christ
[00:34:47] Nevertheless, I live
[00:34:49] Yet not I
[00:34:51] But Christ liveth in me
[00:34:53] And the life which I now live in the flesh
[00:34:55] I live by the faith of the Son of God
[00:34:57] Who loved me and gave himself for me
[00:35:00] And so, in the third phase of Christ's ministry
[00:35:04] He justifies sinners by faith
[00:35:06] And gives them his righteous life by faith
[00:35:09] In order that they can be sanctified through him
[00:35:12] Now why do people only want to believe
[00:35:16] In justification alone?
[00:35:19] We read in the book of Isaiah chapter 55
[00:35:21] And verse 7
[00:35:23] Let the wicked forsake his way
[00:35:25] And the unrighteous man his thoughts
[00:35:28] And let him return unto the Lord
[00:35:30] And he will have mercy upon him
[00:35:32] And to our God, for he will abundantly pardon
[00:35:36] We read in the book of Exodus chapter 23
[00:35:39] And verse 7
[00:35:41] Keep thee far from a false matter
[00:35:43] And the innocent and righteous lay down not
[00:35:46] For I will not justify the wicked
[00:35:49] We read in the book of Proverbs chapter 28 and verse 13
[00:35:54] He that covers his sins shall not prosper
[00:35:57] But whoso confesseth and forsake of them shall have mercy
[00:36:02] We read in the book of Titus chapter 3 and verses 4 to 5
[00:36:07] But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour
[00:36:11] Toward man appeared
[00:36:13] Not by works of righteousness which we have done
[00:36:16] But according to his mercy he saved us
[00:36:18] By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost
[00:36:24] Many professed Christians only want to believe in justification alone
[00:36:28] Because they want to be saved in their sins
[00:36:32] They do not truly repent from evil
[00:36:35] And expect God to justify them when they are still doing wrong
[00:36:39] They want God to cover their sins whilst they are not willing to forsake them
[00:36:44] Heaven's path is too self-denying for them
[00:36:48] These are those who believe once saved always saved
[00:36:53] They want cheap grace and do not want to go through the Holy Spirit's process of regeneration
[00:37:00] God will only pardon those who are truly penitent
[00:37:07] Now can God take people to heaven if they are not sanctified?
[00:37:11] We read in the book of Revelation chapter 3 and verse 21
[00:37:15] Revelation chapter 22 and verses 14 to 15
[00:37:19] Jesus says
[00:37:23] To him that overcomeeth, will I grant a sit with me in my throne
[00:37:27] Even as I also overcame and am set down with my Father in his throne
[00:37:33] Blessed are they that do his commandments
[00:37:36] That they may have right to the tree of life
[00:37:39] And may enter in through the gates into the city
[00:37:42] For without for outside are dogs and sorcerers
[00:37:47] And hallmongers and murderers and idolaters
[00:37:51] And whosoever loveth and makeeth a lie
[00:37:55] The Bible makes it clear that there will be no sinners in heaven
[00:37:59] Only those who overcome sin, as Jesus overcame sin
[00:38:04] Will have the right to eternal life
[00:38:06] And to sit with him in his throne
[00:38:09] Rune in alongside him as his royal children
[00:38:12] On the eternal throne of the universe
[00:38:15] Now let's have another break for some music listeners
[00:38:19] And we'll come back with some closing thoughts
[00:38:42] The moon
[00:38:44] Catching fireflies at night
[00:38:48] Building castles in the sand
[00:38:53] Kissing mother's face goodnight
[00:38:57] And holding daddy's hand
[00:39:01] Thank you Lord
[00:39:07] How could I ask for more
[00:39:16] Running barefoot in the grass
[00:39:23] A little hide and go of sin
[00:39:27] Being so in love
[00:39:32] That you can hardly eat
[00:39:36] Dancing in the dark
[00:39:40] When there's no one else around
[00:39:44] Being bundled beneath the covers
[00:39:48] Watch your snow fall to the ground
[00:39:53] Thank you Lord
[00:39:59] How could I ask for more
[00:40:06] So many things I thought would bring me happiness
[00:40:14] Some dreams that are realities today
[00:40:22] Such an irony
[00:40:25] The things that mean the most to me
[00:40:31] Are the memories
[00:40:34] I fade along the way
[00:40:49] So if there's anything I've learned
[00:40:54] From this journey I am on
[00:40:58] Simple love will keep you going
[00:41:02] Simple truth will keep you strong
[00:41:06] Cause there are questions without answers
[00:41:11] And flames that never die
[00:41:15] Heartaches we go through
[00:41:19] Are often left thin in disguise
[00:41:24] Thank you Lord
[00:41:28] How could I ask for more
[00:42:06] Voice in the ring
[00:42:30] Today let the question come home to the heart of everyone who professes the name of Christ
[00:42:41] Does thou believe in the Son of God?
[00:42:45] Not do you admit that Jesus is the receiver of the world, the redeemer of the world, sorry
[00:42:52] I'll read that again. Not do you admit that Jesus is the redeemer of the world
[00:42:58] Not to soothe your conscience and the consciences of others by saying I believe
[00:43:04] And think that there is all to be done
[00:43:09] But do you believe with all your heart that Jesus is your saviour?
[00:43:16] Do you bring him into your life and weave him into your character until you are one with Christ
[00:43:24] Many accept Jesus as an article of belief but they have no saving faith in him as their sacrifice in saviour
[00:43:33] They have no realisation that Christ has died to save them from the penalty of the law which they have transgressed
[00:43:41] In order that they may be brought back to loyalty to God
[00:43:45] Do you believe that Christ as your substitute pays the debt of your transgression?
[00:43:53] Not however that you may continue in sin but that you may be saved from your sins
[00:44:00] That to you through the merits of his righteousness may be reinstated to the favour of God
[00:44:07] Do you know that the holy and just God will accept your efforts to keep his law
[00:44:14] Through the merits of his own beloved son who died for your rebellion and sin
[00:44:20] You may say that you believe in Jesus when you have an appreciation of the cost of salvation
[00:44:27] You may make this claim when you feel that Jesus died for you on the cruel cross of Calvary
[00:44:34] When you have an intelligent understanding faith that his death makes it possible for you to cease from sin
[00:44:42] And to perfect a righteous character through the grace of God bestowed upon you as the purchase of Christ's blood
[00:44:51] The eyes of fallen men may be anointed with the eye-self of spiritual comprehension
[00:44:57] And they may see themselves as they really are, poor and miserable and blind and naked
[00:45:06] They may be brought to realise their need of repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ
[00:45:14] The plan of salvation is not appreciated as it should be
[00:45:18] It is not discerned or comprehended
[00:45:22] It is made altogether a cheap affair where as to unite the human with the divine required an exertion of omnipotence
[00:45:32] It was necessary that a great condescension should be made on the part of God in behalf of fallen men
[00:45:40] Who had transgressed the unchangeable law of Jehovah
[00:45:43] Christ by clothing his divinity with humanity elevates humanity in the scale of moral value to an infinite worth
[00:45:55] But what a condescension on the part of God and on the part of his only begotten son was equal to the father
[00:46:04] All this had to be done because God's law had been transgressed
[00:46:09] So great has been the spiritual blindness of men that they have sought to make of none effect the word of God
[00:46:16] They have declared by their traditions that the great plan of redemption was devised in order to abolish and make of none effect the law of God
[00:46:26] When Calvary is the mighty argument that proves the immutability of the precepts of Jehovah
[00:46:34] The fact that God had to give his only begotten son to die for a race condemned by the law
[00:46:41] Is sufficient to prove that the law could not be altered one jot or title
[00:46:47] The professed Christian world is indeed in need of I self that they may see the character of God and his law
[00:46:56] Their prayer should be as was David's of old
[00:47:00] Open thou mine eyes that I may behold the wondrous things out of thy law
[00:47:07] That's with view and Harold July the 4th 1888 power graphs 47
[00:47:13] So listeners, this closing thoughts in mind let us now have a word of prayer as we close this study this evening
[00:47:21] Heavenly Father, Lord I thank you for your word and I pray that each and every one of us would go over this study
[00:47:31] And that we would realise Lord that the plan of salvation evolves not only our pardoning for sin but our cleansing from sin
[00:47:42] Because why would Jesus just die to pardon our sins alone when we still have the sin problem
[00:47:50] So help us Lord to be willing to put away every sin that you revealed in our vibes
[00:47:57] Help us to look to you and to understand of the great love and the condescension that you've made towards us
[00:48:06] In order that you must lift us that you might lift us I should say to you eternal throne
[00:48:11] Lord, I just pray and ask that you forgive us for our sins and it would cleanse us from all of righteousness
[00:48:22] And that we ourselves would allow you to take part in this process towards us
[00:48:31] Because it's a matter of choice whether we allow you to do this for us or not
[00:48:36] And so I simply pray and ask Lord if you're blessed to be upon this study, upon your word
[00:48:42] And upon all who love you and are seeking to glorify you
[00:48:47] And who are willing to allow you to work out your love in our hearts
[00:48:51] These things I pray and ask in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
