[00:03:58] Babylon is the church Before we start part seven of this series of radio programs tonight let us summarize what we studied last week in part six During part six we reminded ourselves that there are only two religions in this world True religion is from the Lord Jesus Christ False religion is from Satan We looked at the destinies of each
[00:04:27] The book of Revelation focuses upon two centers of religion Jerusalem and Babylon Jerusalem is where Christ reigns Babylon is where Satan reigns Jerusalem will be established forever Babylon will be forever destroyed We learned how the Roman kingdom had historically transitioned from being a pagan kingdom into a papal kingdom
[00:04:55] We studied the Bible to see how it revealed the predicted falling away from the truth the apostasy in the Christian church The book of Revelation records how heathen customs had slowly found their way into the Christian church Eventually this mixture of paganism and Christianity resulted in the development of the papal power with the pope being the head of this false satanic religion
[00:05:23] We learned from the history of the early Christian church that it was the influence of Gnosticism which was one of the major factors that sold the seeds for the development of the Vatican We then studied how the book of Revelation mentions the things of Babylon because they are in opposition to the things of Jerusalem We looked at how in the old testament times the Lord had chosen the Jewish nation of its capital in Jerusalem
[00:05:50] and how Satan then also had a kingdom of its capital in Babylon After the rejection of the Jewish people the Lord chose members of all nations to make up his kingdom on earth Thus we understand that the church of God is not now centered in Jerusalem in the land of Israel but it is now worldwide constituted of members who Christ has chosen from all nations
[00:06:18] We also studied how Satan changed his kingdom into a church and that anciently a nation opposed the nation but in the new testament it is a false church that opposes the true church Thus ancient Babylon has changed from a kingdom into a church Its headquarters is now in the Vatican the Roman Catholic Church We looked at how the principles involved in the conflict in the Christian era

[00:07:46] Modern Babylon Now modern Babylon is divided into three parts We read in Revelation 17 1-5 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials and talked with me saying unto me Come hither I will show unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication
[00:08:12] and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of a fornication So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness Then I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet-colored beast full of names of blasphemy having seven heads and ten horns And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color decked with gold and precious stones and pearls having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication
[00:08:42] And upon her forehead was a name written Mystery Babylon the Great The mother of harlots and abominations of the earth As we studied in previous radio broadcast listeners Protestants for centuries have all agreed after studying the biblical testimony and world history that the woman that sits on the scarlet-colored beast that sitteth upon many waters with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication
[00:09:13] and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of a fornication is the roman catholic church Once again listeners we point you to our 16-part series called the vatican in europe where this fact is comprehensively studied out and made plain We read in revelation chapter 16 verses 13 to 14 and 19
[00:09:37] And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet for they are the spirits of devils working miracles which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world to gather them to the battle of that great day of god almighty And the great city was divided into three parts
[00:10:06] and the cities of the nations fell and great babylon came in remembrance before god to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath Listeners it must always be remembered that the papacy the beast is the main headquarters of satanic religion in this world This is why the lord has revealed that the vatican is the mother of harlots
[00:10:33] Everything that is evil on this planet has been bred from this system of false religion since it came into power In revelation chapter 16 the lord reveals the three main organized powers that satan will be working through in this world as we near the end of time The three unclean spirits like frogs are the spirits of devils
[00:10:58] unholy influences that come out of the mouth of the dragon the beast and the false prophet Satan and his demons are highly organized Only a fool will believe otherwise Further proof that the dragon the beast and the false prophet are the three powers that satan will be working through
[00:11:20] is that in revelation chapter 16 verse 9 the prophet john saw that babylon the great city was divided into three parts We read from manuscript releases volume 14 page 162 by ellen gould white Satan unites with protestants and papists acting in consult with them as the god of this world Dictating to man as if they were the subjects of his kingdom
[00:11:50] to be handled and governed and controlled as he pleases We are not left in darkness as to how these three powers will bring the whole world on the satanic religion We read from page 588 of the book the great controversy through the two great errors the immortality of the soul and sunday sacredness satan will bring people under his deceptions
[00:12:18] while the former lays the foundation of spiritualism the latter creates a bond of sympathy of rome the protestants of the united states will be foremost in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hand of spiritualism they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands of the roman power and under the influence of this three-fold union this country will follow in the steps of rome in trampling on the rights of conscience
[00:12:46] as spiritualism more closely imitates the nominal christianity of the day it has greater power to deceive and ensnare satan himself is converted after the modern order of things he will appear in the character of an angel of light through the agency of spiritualism miracles will be wrought the sick will be healed and many undeniable wonders will be performed
[00:13:13] as the spirits will profess faith in the bible and manifest respect for the institution of the church their work will be accepted as a manifestation of divine power the line of distinction between professed christians and the ungodly is now hardly distinguishable church members love what the world loves and are ready to join with them
[00:13:35] and satan determines to unite them in one body and thus strengthen his cause by sweeping all into the ranks of spiritualism papists who bolster miracles as a certain sign of the true church will be readily deceived by this wonder working power and protestants having cast away the shield of truth will also be deluded papists protestants and worldlings will alike accept the form of godliness without the power
[00:14:05] and they will see in this union a grand movement for the conversion of the world and the ushering in of the long expected millennium so listeners what the lord has revealed to his servant here is quite deep it gives us insight as to how satan works and will work until the end of time to counteract the work of the everlasting gospel of jesus christ
[00:14:32] through spiritualism satan and his demons even now appear as angels of light and work miracles like healing the sick through sunday sacredness satan and his demons will continue to seek to keep people worshiping in sympathy with the church of rome and as we draw near the end of time spiritualism will be the main religion
[00:14:56] that papists and apostate protestants will unite with as satan through his mystic teachers will make it look like a new order of religion has come into the world we continue to read from page 589 from the great controversy through spiritualism satan appears as a benefactor of the race healing the diseases of the people
[00:15:20] and professing to present a new and more exalted system of religious faith but at the same time he works as a destroyer his temptations are leading multitudes to ruin in temperance the throne's reason sensual indulgence strife and bloodshed follow satan delights in war for it excites the worst passions of the soul
[00:15:45] and then sweeps into eternity as victims steeped in vice and blood it is his object to incite the nations to war against one another for he can thus divert the minds of the people from the work of preparation to stand in the day of god Listeners what many people in society do not realize is that many of the higher classes and circles of
[00:16:09] society are involved with modern spiritualism and have been for almost two centuries spiritualism has been too low under the radar recently we need to understand the significance that this power has in the world and will continue to have as it will be used by satan for what is known as the new age movement which is another name used by modern spiritualism to deceive the whole world into
[00:16:37] accepting the new age christ remember as we studied last week listeners the book revelation brings to view two opposing powers the true religion of god which has its headquarters in the new jerusalem which is yet to come down to this earth from heaven see revelation chapter 21 verse 2
[00:17:00] the lord is seeking to prepare god's people for the second coming of christ christ is now working through his faithful servants to save people from eternal death and to gather his people from all over the world through earth's final messages of warning the free angels messages given in revelation chapter 14 satan's counterfeit religion headquartered at the center of modern babylon the vatican has
[00:17:29] been designed to deceive people and to make them believe that god's people are their enemies modern babylon needs people not to be saved from death but to the lake of fire and eternal destruction the devil has only one mission and that is to destroy people this is an all-out war that we are
[00:17:52] involved in on this planet christ versus satan good versus evil love versus hatred and righteousness versus sin and rebellion against god's law and so before we have the break let us learn more about the modern spiritualism which is the religion of ancient babylon brought out in another form
[00:18:17] we read from pages 554 555 to 556 and 557 to 558 from the book the great controversy the prince of darkness who has so long bent the powers of his mastermind to the work of deception skillfully adapts his temptations to men of all classes and conditions the persons of culture and
[00:18:44] refinement he presents spiritualism in its more refined and intellectual aspects and thus succeeds in drawing many into his snare the wisdom with spiritualism imparts is that described by the apostle james james chapter 3 verse 15 he appeals to the reason by the presentation of elevating themes he delights
[00:19:13] the fancy with in the rapturing scenes and he enlists the affections by his eloquent portrayals of love and charity he excites the imagination to lofty flights leading men to take so great pride in their own wisdom that in their hearts they despise the eternal one to the self-indulgent the pleasure-loving
[00:19:37] the sensual spiritualism presents itself under a less subtle disguise than to the more refined and intellectual in its grosser forms they find that which is in harmony with their inclinations satan studies every indication of the frailty of human nature he marks the sins which each individual is inclined to commit and then he takes care that opportunity
[00:20:03] shall not be wanting to gratify the tendency to evil he tempts men to excess in that which is in itself lawful causing them through intemperance to weaken physical mental and moral power he has destroyed and is destroying thousands through the indulgence of the passions thus brutalizing the entire nature of man
[00:20:27] and to complete this work he declares through the spirits that true knowledge places man above all law and that whatever is is right that god does not condemn and that all sins which are committed are innocent it is true that spiritualism is now changing its form and veiling some of its more objectionable features
[00:20:53] and it's assuming a christian guise but its utterances from the platform and the press have been before the public for many years and in these its real character stands revealed these teachings cannot be denied or hidden even in its present form so far from being more worthy of toleration than formerly it is really a more
[00:21:18] dangerous because a more subtle deception while it formally denounced christ in the bible in our professes to accept both but the bible is interpreted in a manner that is pleasing to the unrenewed heart while its solemn and vital truths are made of no effect love is dwelt upon as the chief attribute of god but it is degraded to a weak sentimentalism making little distinction between good and evil
[00:21:47] god's justice his denunciations of sin the requirements of his holy law are all kept out of sight the people are taught to regard the decalogue as a dead letter pleasing bewitching fables captivate the senses and lead men to reject the bible as the foundation of their faith christ is as verily denied as before but satan has so blinded the eyes of the people that the deception is not discerned
[00:22:18] but none need be deceived by the lying claims of spiritualism god has given the world sufficient light to enable them to discover the snare as already shown the fairy which forms the very foundation of spiritualism is at war with the plainest statements of scripture the bible declares that the dead know not anything that their thoughts have perished they have no part in anything that is done under the sun
[00:22:47] they know nothing of the joys or sorrows of those who are dearest to them on earth furthermore god has expressly forbidden all pretended communication with departed spirits in the days of the hebrews there was a class of people who claimed as do the spiritualists of today to hold communion with the dead but the familiar spirits as these visitants from other worlds were called are declared by the bible
[00:23:16] to be the spirits of devils compare numbers chapter 25 verses 1 to 3 psalm 106 verse 28 first corinthians chapter 10 verse 20 revelation chapter 16 verse 14 the work of dealing with familiar spirits was pronounced an abomination to the lord and was solemnly forbidden under penalty of death leviticus chapter 19 verse 31 chapter 20 verse 27

[00:26:22] exists according to pantheists there is no personal god instead their concept of god consists of what the god force or life force they teach that this energy or god force flows through all living things plants animals and human beings since this god force flows through all of us
[00:26:47] they rationalize we must therefore be gods or at least part of god because of disbelief most pantheists will automatically support the concept of a one world government since global unity is essential for the proper flow of the god force humanity will then presumably take a quantum leap to a high level of existence
[00:27:11] the result will be that all humans will suddenly receive mystical powers to do what they could never do before a new age of enlightenment a new world order will be born pantheism also teaches that we will never die and therefore we must face no personal judgment by god we just keep coming back in different life forms reincarnation an acceptable concept to pantheists
[00:27:39] since they believe that we are all one with nature anyway pantheism is satan's religion although direct satan worship satanism has drawn some followers most people will not embroil themselves in it because of its blatantly evil overtones instead something more subtle such as pantheism developed to draw in the masses
[00:28:08] mysticism as it turns out is simply a kinder gentler way of saying occultism what has thrown people even further off track is the term new age which is even more pleasant sounding but has come to be synonymous with mysticism and occult in modern language being a mystic new ager is a mystic or occultist in essence they all mean the same thing
[00:28:36] perhaps the most addictive and dangerous aspect of occultism is entering into or inducing an altered state of consciousness achieving altered states was one of the chief unifying factors among new ages god created us with a type of protective dome to shield us from the realm of the occult
[00:29:00] however if we choose to disobey god and his warnings it is possible to break through this invisible shield to tap directly into the occult and to communicate with the powers of darkness demons this can be achieved in many ways using a variety of concentration and meditation techniques most of which have the effect of inducing an altered state of consciousness
[00:29:26] mind altering drugs have been used for thousands of years to accomplish the same purpose of inducing altered states in fact author neville jury contends that the philosophers of ancient greek were known to use a drug very similar to lsd to place themselves into trances this drug was made from the ergot that grew on the cereal crops in nearby fields and was frequently used
[00:29:55] before initiates partook in the occult rituals of the greek mysteries some of the philosophers were particularly heavy into the occult and drugs and had been initiated into the mysteries of eluis it is no coincidence that the use of drugs and the practice of occultism exploded at the
[00:30:17] same time during the 1960s the two go hand in hand mind altering drugs such as edesty and heroin are merely the lazy man's way of achieving an altered state or taking a trip which is really an occult experience this is only one of the reasons why drugs are so addictive
[00:30:42] it was interesting to discover that all of the ancient mystery religions from the bible era were pantheistic pantheism originated in the ancient city of babylon in mesopotamia and from there spread rapidly in all directions to cover the face of the earth hinduism is one of the offshoots of the original babylonian
[00:31:03] pantheism via the areas of ancient persia and buddhism is an offshoot of hinduism all of the eastern religions of today are ultimately traceable to ancient babylon with the pulse flood rebellion against god began many of the leaders of the new age movement know exactly what they are doing and who they are in touch
[00:31:28] with demonic spirits many of the occult initiates directly under these leaders on the other hand might not be aware of the actual lucifer worship going on at the top they must however realize that the techniques and rituals which they are practicing relate to the occult traditionally the philosophical
[00:31:51] society has been at the forefront of the movement playing an important role in conditioning humanity to accept the new world order the organization has produced many of the most widely read occult classics such as the destiny of the nations the reappearance of the christ discipleship of the new age and the secret doctrine
[00:32:13] written by the society's founder helena petrovna blavatsky on page 53 of the secret doctrine blavatsky quotes milton's paradise lost in reference to the fallen one or satan stating better to reign in hell than serve in heaven on the same page she declares
[00:32:36] better be man the crown of terrestrial production and king over its opus operatum than be lost among the willless spirit hosts in heaven on page 76 of the secret doctrine blavatsky referring to lucifer states quoting eliphas levi as follows it satan is that angel who is proud enough to believe himself god
[00:33:05] brave enough to buy his independence at the price of eternal suffering and torture beautiful enough to have adored himself in full divine light strong enough to still reign in darkness amidst agony and to have made himself a throne out of this inextinguishable pyre the prince of anarchy served by a hierarchy of pure spirits
[00:33:30] so listeners before we finish this study of the new age movement have we not listened to evidence that clearly states that some of the leaders of the modern new age movement knew who satan was and willingly chose to serve him please read psalm 2 the lord revealed this conspiracy of evil against himself
[00:33:53] many thousands of years ago no one can say that some ring leaders in satan's apostasy do not know that they serve him because they do let us now learn how the vatican is connected to the new age movement
[00:34:11] we continue to read from pages 88 90 99 100 107 and 108 of gary h carl's book historically with the exception of the grand orient lodge the masonic order has been exclusively male however in 1893 the french lodge free thinkers reversed the trend by adding the special feature
[00:34:39] of admitting women this lodge became known as the great x symbolic lodge of france or lodge of human rights was the beginning of what is today known as coal masonry or adoptive masonry this lodge is headquartered in paris and has hundreds of affiliated lodges throughout europe and americas alice bailey received frequent instructions on free masonry through her spirit guide
[00:35:05] dojwood karl referred to as the tibetan master the leaders of illuminized free masonry decided that it would be it would create less suspicion if the most visible roles for preparing the way for the new age went to the women masonic leaders of the philosophical society bravatsky besant and bailey since freemasonry was viewed as a predominantly male organization
[00:35:33] this would prevent people from suspecting it as the center of direction according to albert pike gnosticism was an offshoot of cabalism an oral occult tradition which was adhered to by a minority of the jews at some point which remains uncertain these occult teachings were reduced to
[00:35:54] writing and the cabala was born on page 626 of morals and dogma pike states the cabala is the key of the occult sciences and the gnostics were born of the cabalists cabalism was mainly a unique version of the ancient mysteries specifically designed to deceive god's chosen people unlike the other mysteries
[00:36:20] its teachings dealt specifically with israel offering occult counter explanations to the revelations of the prophets complete with a cleverly disguised occult interpretation of the history of israel moses for example rather than being the righteous prophet of god who led the israelites out of egypt was made was made out to be an occult figure whose purpose was to initiate the israelites into the enlightened and more advanced teachings of egypt
[00:36:51] if cabalism could be viewed as the occult counter explanation of the old testament gnosticism existing as a further development of cabalism and taking into account satan's new problem posed by the risen christ would serve as the main occult counter-attack against the new testament thus cabalism and gnosticism combined composed a type of occult parallel to the old and the new testaments
[00:37:22] gnosticism although originally composed of jewish occultists rapidly gained gentile followers until it soon became predominantly gentile as the priesthoods were forced to take on new forms gnosticism became a magnet for these occult adepts branches of gnosticism represented the first significant secret societies of the post-resurrection era

[00:39:37] some of the original documents and correspondence of the illuminati in his book proofs of a conspiracy written in 1798 he reproduced major segments of the illuminati's original writings robison stated the express aim of the order was to abolish christianity and overturn all civil government
[00:40:01] he went on to quote weisoppt stating that the plan for a new world order can succeed in no other way but by secret associations which will by degrees and in silence possess themselves of the government of the states and make use of those means for this purpose so listeners we see that history records
[00:40:25] that one of the free unclean spirits in revelation chapter 16 verses 13 to 14 symbolized by the lord as the dragon is modern spiritualism in the form of the new age movement it was set up in this world by satan through illuminized free masonry illuminized free masonry was set up by the jesuits the secret
[00:40:49] militia of the roman catholic church in 1776 to bring the whole world under a new world order notice again as we studied in previous episodes how branches of gnosticism which grew into the system of papal rome after the time of christ represented the first significant secret societies of the post-resurrection area

[00:45:27] these both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone we read in revelation chapter 17 verses 12 to 18 and the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings which have received no kingdom as yet but receive power as kings one hour with the beast these have one mind and shall give their power and strength unto the beast
[00:45:52] these shall make war with the lamb and the lamb shall overcome them for he is lord of lords and king of kings and they that are with him are called and chosen and faithful and he saith unto me the waters which thou sawest where the horse sitteth are peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues
[00:46:18] and the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast these shall hate the hall and shall make her desolate and naked and shall eat her flesh and burn her with fire for god have put in their hearts to fulfill his will and to agree and give their kingdom unto the beast until the words of god shall be fulfilled and the woman which thou sawest is that great city which reigneth over the kings of the earth
[00:46:48] their listeners we have nothing to fear from the power of evil on this planet as long as we are in a saving relationship with our lord jesus christ jesus has shown us in the book of revelation that he will eventually destroy satan and all his evil powers and systems of government when he returns at his second coming
[00:47:13] this should give us total confidence that this world will not always be as dark and confused and unloving and cold as it is christ's light and truth and love and warmth will return to it once again as god originally planned when this planet was originally created even now we can be delivered from the power of darkness
[00:47:42] and be translated into the kingdom of god's dear son v colossians chapter 1 verse 13 listeners there is hope for us in this life as long as we trust in the god of hope and give our hearts and lives to jesus in our next radio broadcast we will be looking at the teachings of modern babylon and learning how to escape from the errors of this system that are so prevailing in this world
[00:48:12] so that our minds and hearts can be free in god and in jesus so let us pray to close our study this evening heavenly father lord we thank you for your word and thank you for all the light that you shed upon us in this world through the many faithful servants that you've raised up over the ages
[00:48:37] men and women who have given their lives to love you and to serve you and to help us to for your grace and power and direction to understand about the war that's raging on this planet lord i pray that we would take all these matters seriously and that we would seek every day to learn from you what is your will
[00:49:01] this is not a time lord for us to be living as normal as normal being to live as other people as living on this world just eating and drinking working and sleeping and thinking that the next day will be the same as today lord i pray that we would walk on your side that we would seek to understand your will and that especially as christians lord that we would do everything that we can
[00:49:31] to present the everlasting gospel and to win souls to your eternal kingdom lord as the song says it takes everything to serve the lord and i do pray that we would truly understand that it truly does take everything to serve you and lord help us to understand that it will be worth it after all so bless us and keep us and i pray and ask these things humbly in the name of our lord jesus christ amen
