[00:05:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Hello, good evening. Sister Sharon, you are live on Voice in the Wilderness Internet Radio.

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_03]: How are you this evening?

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing fine, Brother John.

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Praise the Lord. Glad to hear so.

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, Sister Sharon, tonight we will be discussing these questions together.

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_03]: What is diet?

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_03]: What directions does God give us about diet?

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_03]: How has sin affected our diet?

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_03]: What reform is needed with diet and how can we practically carry this out today?

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, Sister Sharon, before we start our discussion this evening,

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_03]: shall we have a word of prayer together? Do you mind praying to open this evening, please?

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely. Father in Heaven, again, we are approaching your presence,

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_00]: asking that you would be with us,

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_00]: that you would conduct our conversation

[00:06:13] [SPEAKER_00]: and that you will give understanding to all who are within the listening ear

[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_00]: and pray, dear Father, that you would bless

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_00]: so that it's understood and also

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_00]: that many can share with others.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I want to thank you for this opportunity to share today

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_00]: and I ask a special blessing on Brother John

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_00]: for making such an opportunity available

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_00]: and we want to thank you for providing a means in which these things can be presented before people.

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_00]: In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Amen.

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Sister Sharon, what is diet?

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we have a dictionary description

[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_00]: and that says a diet is the sum of food consumed by a person or other organism.

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_00]: The word diet often implies the use of specific intake of nutrition

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_00]: for health or weight management reasons.

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_00]: So then diet is the intake of nutrition, whether it's of a good quality or a bad one.

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Diet is a prescribed way of eating.

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_00]: We get our nutrients from food.

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_00]: In other words, what you put into your mouth provides the raw building blocks for what

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_00]: for your internal physiology.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_00]: So we have to remember that the intake of nutrition,

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_00]: being the process of being nourished, in other words,

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_00]: it's the utilization of food substances

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_00]: for the proper nourishment of the body.

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_00]: So the best diet for us today is still the same diet originally given to Adam and Eve.

[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Act creation before sand, it provides everything that was needed.

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_00]: So imagine, I was thinking about this.

[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Imagine everything they needed without all the rigorous food preparation

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_00]: and it was right there to pick, you know, and to basically

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_00]: well much later, the children of Israel were given manna.

[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_00]: It was the diet of Eden in miniature all in one small round thing.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_00]: And for 40 years they received this.

[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to read from Psalms 78, 24 and 25.

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And I hope people have their Bibles nearby because I'm going to be reading a little bit from it.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_00]: And had rained down manna upon them to eat and had given them the corn of heaven.

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Man did eat angels food.

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_00]: He sent them meat to the full.

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm going to read it from the NLT version is the new living translation.

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I like to read from the King James, but just in order that some people understand a little bit better.

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes I'll refer to the NLT or another one.

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_00]: He rained.

[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_00]: It says he rained down manna for the people to eat.

[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_00]: He gave them the grain of heaven.

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Human beings ate the bread of angels.

[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_00]: He sent them all the food they could eat.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_00]: And this took place for 40 years.

[00:10:02] [SPEAKER_00]: It's required all the nourishment that they needed.

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_00]: And so you as you remember it said there was not one sick among them.

[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_00]: That's amazing.

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, man has tried to imitate this brother John by little supplements and sometimes their canned shakes.

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_00]: They might be some type of bar, you know, that's some health bar might be some of your kind of snack.

[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_00]: And it's as though they're trying to imitate this, trying to say everything you need is in this bar.

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_00]: But that's not true because it will not supply every nutrient that the body needs.

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_00]: So we look at I'll give you another example.

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_00]: How about breast milk?

[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_00]: It's what I call liquid manna because it has everything that a baby needs in it when it's first born.

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_00]: In fact, it doesn't even need water at first.

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_00]: So just that breast milk supplies every need of that baby, that newborn baby.

[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_00]: It has proteins and that's going to be way in casein.

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_00]: It has the fats.

[00:11:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Human milk has these fats that are essential for the health of the baby.

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_00]: And then vitamins and it also has carbohydrates.

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Isn't that amazing?

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Everything that baby needs right there.

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_00]: And if that baby used it for the first year of its life, it would still have what is needed.

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Of course, you know, other food has to be introduced.

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_00]: You know, the friends really proper nutrition or diet is a major component of health.

[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_00]: If you want help, you have to have proper nutrition.

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm going to read from 1 John 2.

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_00]: What does God say about it?

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_00]: I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. Amen.

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, and I'd just like to thanks very much this disease, I'm off for sharing this vital information.

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'd just like to just add to this for those who, you know, want to look into the scriptures more.

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I looked at where the word diet is first mentioned in the scripture and its relation to exactly what sister Sharon has shared with us.

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_03]: This is in Jeremiah chapter 52 and verses 31 to 34.

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It reads,

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_03]: And it came to pass in the 7 and 30th year of the cabitivity of Jehovah Kim, King of Judah in the 12 month in the five and 20th day of the month.

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_03]: That evil Meredek, King of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehovah King, King of Judah and bought him forth out of prison.

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_03]: So Jehovah Kim, King of Judah was bought for the prison.

[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And this King spake kindly unto him and set his throne above the King of Kings that were with him in Babylon and changed his prison garments.

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_03]: And he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.

[00:13:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Now that's the sustenance and for his diet, there was a continual diet giving him of the King of Babylon.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Eve every day a portion unto the day of his death or the days of his life.

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_03]: So you see the Bible explains that a diet is your appointed ration of food or dinner that you have during your lifetime.

[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And as sister Sharon has shared and as we're going to go into this, God himself knows exactly what diet we need in order to sustain us basically throughout our day and lifetime.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_03]: So I just thought to just add that also sister Sharon.

[00:14:11] [SPEAKER_00]: That's wonderful.

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And let's now go to what directions does God give us about diet?

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, in the beginning of the Bible we read Genesis 129.

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_00]: And God said, behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed which is on the face of the earth and every tree in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed.

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_00]: To you it shall be for me.

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And now if you read that in the new King James version, it says in God said, see, I've given you every herb that yield seed which is on the face of the earth and every tree whose fruit yield seed.

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_00]: To you it shall be for food.

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_00]: So now after man sinned, Genesis 317 says then to Adam, he said, because you have heated the voice of your wife and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you saying you shall not eat of it.

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Cursed is the ground for your sakes and toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life, both thorns and thistles.

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_00]: It shall bring forth to you and you shall eat the herb of the field in the sweat of your face.

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_00]: You shall eat bread till you return to the ground for out of it you are taken for for dust you are and to dust you shall return.

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_00]: So as you see, man was given a post sin diet that would at least supply his post sin body.

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I use the word his is meaning mankind and the herb of the field meaning vegetables.

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Just before the God said to Noah of every clean beast thou shall take to thee by sevens the male and his female and a beast that are not clean by two.

[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_00]: The male and his female.

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Now after the flood, God said every moving thing that live is shall be meet for you even as the green herb that I've given you.

[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Now Genesis 9 3 to 4 when God said every moving thing that live is shall be meet to you even the the green herb that he had given them.

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Moses when he wrote this new from Genesis 7 to that he had he had also written that it would be understood by all that the all was referring to clean meats.

[00:16:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Man was given permission to eat clean meats for the first time.

[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_00]: However, God specifically forbade the eating of blood.

[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Now there are some that say that you know and acts 10 God changes mind about unclean meats and and now he gave permission.

[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Therefore, I'm going to read it to you and allow the scriptures to interpret themselves.

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_00]: X 10.

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to read this from the new living translation.

[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_00]: I hope people have their Bibles acts 10.

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_00]: And Ciceria there lived a Roman army officer named Cornelius who was a captain of the Italian regiment.

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_00]: He was a devout God fearing man as was everyone in his household.

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_00]: He gave generously to the poor and prayed regularly to God.

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_00]: What afternoon about three o'clock he had a vision in which he saw an angel of God coming toward him Cornelius the angel said Cornelius stared at him in terror.

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_00]: What is it sir?

[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_00]: He asked the angel and the angel replied your prayers and gifts to the poor have been received by God as an offering.

[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Now sent some men to Joppa and some in a man named Simon Peter.

[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_00]: He is staying with Simon a Tanner who lives near the seashore.

[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_00]: As soon as the angel was gone Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier one of his personal attendants.

[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_00]: He told them what had happened and sent them off to Joppa.

[00:18:50] [SPEAKER_00]: The next day as Cornelius's messengers were nearing the town Peter went up on the flat roof to pray.

[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_00]: He had no idea right?

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_00]: It was about noon and he was hungry but while a meal was being prepared he fell into a trance.

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_00]: He saw the sky open something like a large sheet was set down by its four corners.

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_00]: In the sheet were all sorts and remember this sheet large sheet was let down by its four corners.

[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_00]: In the sheet were all sorts of animals reptiles and birds.

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Then a boy said to him get up Peter kill and eat them.

[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_00]: No Lord Peter declared and I'm reading verse 14 now.

[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I have never eaten anything that our Jewish laws have declared impure or unclean but the voice spoke again.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Do not call something unclean if God has made it clean.

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_00]: The same vision was repeated three times then the sheet was suddenly pulled up to heaven.

[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Peter was perplexed verse 17.

[00:20:10] [SPEAKER_00]: What could the vision mean?

[00:20:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Just then the men sent by Cornelius found Simon's house standing beside the gate.

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_00]: They asked if a man named Simon Peter was staying there.

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Meanwhile as Peter was puzzling over the vision the Holy Spirit said to him three men have come looking for you.

[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Get up go downstairs and go with them without hesitation.

[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't worry for I have sent them.

[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_00]: So verse 21 so Peter went down and said I'm the man you're looking for why have you come?

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_00]: They said we were sent by Cornelius a Roman soldier.

[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_00]: He is a devout and God fearing man well respected by the Jews.

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_00]: A holy angel instructed him to summon you to his house so that he so that he can hear your message.

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_00]: So Peter invited the men to stay for the night was a long journey.

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_00]: The next day he went with them accompanied by some of the brothers from Joppa.

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Then they arrived in Cicera the following day Cornelius was waiting for them and had called Peter.

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_00]: People to call together his relatives and close friends as Peter entered the home Cornelius fell at his feet and worshiped him.

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_00]: But Peter pulled him up and said stand up I'm a human being just like you.

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_00]: So they talked together and went inside where many others were assembled.

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Peter told them you know it is against our Jew our laws for a Jewish man to enter a Gentile home like this or to associate with you.

[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_00]: But God has shown me that I should no longer think of anyone as impure or unclean.

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_00]: So I came without objection as soon as I was sent for now tell me why you sent for me.

[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes this vision or transit Peter had was to prepare him to associate with Gentiles wasn't it.

[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_00]: From the four corners of the world.

[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes he was no longer to see them as unclean but they were worthy of salvation weren't they.

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_00]: As well as the Jews.

[00:22:42] [SPEAKER_00]: So the vision was not meant to change God's dietary laws at all but to change their the Jewish thinking towards the Gentiles.

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes I'm into that.

[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Now Matthew 15 8 and 9.

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_00]: It says this people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth and honors their lips but their heart is far from me.

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_00]: But in vain but in vain do they worship me teaching for doctrines the commandments of man.

[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_00]: So we see these things were not biblical you know these these changes in the diet but you know or to say that now you could eat unclean meats but these are the doctrines of men their commandments.

[00:23:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes.

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes.

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Genesis 9 4 says but flesh with the life thereof which is the blood thereof shall ye not eat Leviticus 17 11 says for the life of the flesh is in the blood.

[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes.

[00:24:08] [SPEAKER_00]: And I've given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls for it is the blood that make it the atonement for the soul so you can see that blood was to represent the savior to come.

[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_00]: And his sacrifice on Calvary for us.

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_00]: We're told.

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes.

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_00]: So does this mean only sacrificial animals that were not to use the blood of well verse 14 says for the life of the flesh is in the blood of the flesh is in the blood of the soul.

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes.

[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_00]: So it is the life of all flesh.

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_00]: It is the life of all just a moment.

[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_00]: I just had another man and I get rid of that and I think I've kind of lost my place here for it is the life of all flesh the blood of it is for the life thereof.

[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Therefore I said under the children of Israel ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh.

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_00]: So it wasn't just the sacrificial for the life of the flesh is the blood thereof whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.

[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_00]: So we can see that all the sacrifices were were always pointing to the ultimate sacrifice that blood represented and God wanted everyone to understand that.

[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_00]: So how is it that the life is in the blood well blood preserves and supports life by transporting nutrients to every cell of the body and it takes away waste too.

[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_00]: In this way the life of the flesh is in the blood at all circulation ends when a person dies right.

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_00]: And so therefore well.

[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_03]: So thanks to disease.

[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_03]: There's time is moving on and let's now look at how has sin affected our diet.

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay.

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_00]: Well let's go to the Bible again Proverbs 26 verse 2 says as the bird by wandering as the swallow by flying.

[00:27:24] [SPEAKER_00]: So the curse causeless shall not come.

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_00]: It's called cause and effect.

[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_00]: What we put into our bodies provide those raw building blocks for internal physiology.

[00:27:39] [SPEAKER_00]: What if you put the wrong foods in.

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:27:42] [SPEAKER_00]: So Galatians 6 7 says be not deceived God is not ma for whatsoever a man so it that shall he also reap.

[00:27:54] [SPEAKER_00]: And we see cause and effect here.

[00:27:56] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's what you do is what you're going to get back what you put into it what you're going to get out of it.

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_00]: We live in a fast Dr. Frank J. Herd the husband of of the lady who did the book back to Eden in Elizabeth heard I think was her name.

[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_00]: No Rosalie heard pardon me.

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_00]: Live in a fast paced society and many commute to work people don't grow their own food either due to lack of space I'm adding this in or inconvenience or just no interest in planting.

[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm surprised you know that people don't plant things in pots even.

[00:28:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.

[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_00]: The you know the food industries know this brother John and because they know that we find that you know growing food one can hardly keep up you know these these manufacturing places with the competition.

[00:29:04] [SPEAKER_00]: And so they they pick the food before it's ripened they do many things to it to preserve it and that which is nearly ripe you know there's the danger of it spoiling and trans trans it.

[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of good majority of our food just does not have the nutritional value that ripened food does and this makes it deep.

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_00]: You don't have the vitamins.

[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Much food is preserved with chemical additives and we can hardly avoid buying contaminated food today.

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_00]: The and this food not being normally ripened now has all these other things added to it to preserve it to flavor it.

[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_00]: You know we're doctoring it up aren't we.

[00:29:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:29:58] [SPEAKER_00]: So Romans 823 says for we know that the whole creation growneth and travail it in pain together until now.

[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_00]: So creation is groaning friends under the curse of sin.

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_00]: And in a book by the name of consoles and diets and food were told that cancers tumors and all inflammatory diseases are largely caused by meat eating.

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Remember that the life is in the blood it transport the good and bad throughout the body.

[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:30:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:30:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Okay so that is that particular question.

[00:30:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you have more?

[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I also looked at first Peter chapter four verses one to three and this is in relation to how sin has affected our diet.

[00:31:02] [SPEAKER_03]: For it says for for as much then as Christ have suffered for us in the flesh.

[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Arm yourselves likewise with the same mind for he that have suffered in the flesh have seized from sin.

[00:31:16] [SPEAKER_03]: That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the loss of man but to the will of God.

[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_03]: And so we see the contrast is that suffering in the suffering excuse me in the flesh so that we can live to the will of God.

[00:31:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And Jesus said the example because it says for the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles when we walked in lasciviousness thus excess of wine,

[00:31:44] [SPEAKER_03]: revelins, banquet in an abominable idolatries.

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_03]: So you see here that Peter has mentioned a lot about eating.

[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_03]: You see about about about intemperance and so from the scripture I see that sins affected our diet because men as you rightfully said no longer eat and drink that which is healthy.

[00:32:05] [SPEAKER_03]: They eat and drink too much and have become intemperate and it's made us use food and drink for our own selfish use.

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Rather than father in the will of God and that's broad even as you shared how the foods being doctored not being ripened properly put in what is additives or this is based upon greed and selfishness.

[00:32:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And so we see that sins directs men to live to the lust of the flesh rather than to be filled with God's spirit.

[00:32:35] [SPEAKER_03]: And so these are the things that I had studied when looking at this in that as we know God is love and God is good and everything he does and directs us to it is for our benefit.

[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Satan on the other hand is you know he's he's he is the source of evil in this universe and on this planet and everything that he does is seeking to destroy men.

[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_03]: So so quite simply you know sin seeks to destroy us through an unhealthy diet but the Lord is seeking to preserve and and and to keep us alive through a healthy diet.

[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_03]: So just to share that just to share the compliment that which you've shared.

[00:33:23] [SPEAKER_03]: So moving on now as we carry on here.

[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_03]: So looking at this what reform is needed with diet now sister Sharon.

[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh so much much of the world is really come to the realization that we do need these changes.

[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And you know we we it's the only way that will stem the tide of disease.

[00:33:56] [SPEAKER_00]: It's just the only way changes have to be made in our lifestyle.

[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_00]: You know since good health is is really our treasure.

[00:34:04] [SPEAKER_00]: We have good health we have everything just about you know that we need in this life and that health enables us to work it enables us to sleep it enables us to think it enables us to do everything.

[00:34:20] [SPEAKER_00]: So where it was this statement was made years ago.

[00:34:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Let food be that medicine and medicine be thy food.

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_00]: It's often a quoted phase phrase you know that was spoken by Hippocrates and this was like 400 years before Christ.

[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_00]: So the world understood this you know the relationship to health and food.

[00:34:51] [SPEAKER_00]: So now we see it more than ever before you know how relevant it is there's an increasing reliance on prescription drugs to treat every ailment you know both mental and physical.

[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah so and so we have some some really you know I was looking at the book 10 talents and looking at some of their their ideas are the same as mine.

[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_00]: And one of the things you know I'm just going to go down a list of things that would help us.

[00:35:21] [SPEAKER_00]: One is to drink plenty of water when you rise in the morning you know and also in between your meals it's it would do very well because water is like the best liquid.

[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Eat a substantial breakfast you know after a night's rest the body is better able to digest a hearty meal than at other times.

[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_00]: You know you've had this break you know so now eat a nice big meal you know my husband and I decided that we would eat dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner.

[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah smart.

[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_00]: A large meal in the morning and I'm on a two meal a day plan.

[00:36:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Also eat at regular intervals you want to have at least five to six hours in between a meal.

[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Now I know it takes four and a half hours to digest generally speaking.

[00:36:22] [SPEAKER_00]: And if you if it takes four and a half hours to digest do you want to eat exactly at four and a half hours or do you want to give your stomach a little break.

[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_00]: So you know five to six hours is best in between your meals and there are a lot of good things that come out of that.

[00:36:48] [SPEAKER_00]: You know it does help you live longer.

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_00]: We should try to avoid snacking to avoid you know it's a bad habit but but needs to be overcome that the meal every time you eat in between your meal.

[00:37:04] [SPEAKER_00]: You start your digestion over and so that means the first food that was in your stomach is going to ferment.

[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_00]: You know and that's going to be upsetting to the stomach.

[00:37:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Anything that is irregular with the stomach is also affecting your brain power and your body functions.

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_00]: So it's tax very taxing so these are just the best things to do.

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[00:37:33] [SPEAKER_00]: So another thing is that we shouldn't we should eat for strength and not drunkenness as the Bible says.

[00:37:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Eat strength and not drunkenness when we overdo it and we're all guilty of that at times you know going to potlucks and you know places like that sometimes when you eat a certain way you know you're eating a vegan meal and then you finally find a place with vegan food.

[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_00]: You're like wow I want some of this and some of that and some of that you can overdo it.

[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh I hope you a healthy dessert I'm going to get four of those you know we want to be careful.

[00:38:15] [SPEAKER_00]: We still need the time in between our meals we don't want to eat for drunkenness.

[00:38:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Another thing is avoid eating just before you go to bed because everything in your body is slowing down when you go to sleep.

[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_00]: You know your heart goes down your breathing all these different things and because of it we have to recognize that our digestion slows down as well.

[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_00]: And many people suffer sleeplessness because their stomach is still working still digesting and then they're just telling everyone I can't sleep at night.

[00:39:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I can't sleep at night you know I'm not saying that's everyone's situation but that is a big one it is a big one.

[00:39:10] [SPEAKER_00]: We should also take time to enjoy our meals you know don't eat hurriedly you know or if you're overtired you know it's better to drink something and you know like to have some maybe soy milk or something like that or eat just a piece of fruit you know if you're super tired because it just doesn't help with the stomach.

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_00]: The work all the work that it has to do it has to rest with you.

[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_00]: And then also two meals are always better than three because if you have a third meal and especially for people with sedentary type jobs it's best to eat two meals.

[00:39:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Now if you're a construction worker or someone who's really working hard with their hands you know lifting and doing things like that you can see that third meal but you know the saying is eat breakfast like a king lunch like a prince and dinner like a popper.

[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Do poppers always get to eat dinner? No they don't you know so very very little or nothing should be eaten as the third meal.

[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_00]: For most people now I'm not saying you know I'm not trying to say that someone with diabetes or you know some other situation.

[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah please understand there this is the best way for people but there are sometimes those rules are bent because of illnesses or specific situations.

[00:40:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Then another thing is you know you should try to have regular hours for sleep because that helps.

[00:41:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Basic guidelines for good eating habits are don't eat this huge variety in one meal because there are some foods that just don't work well with other foods.

[00:41:17] [SPEAKER_00]: But you should have a variety and I like to tell people eat a rainbow.

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Eat a rainbow of food and if you want foods that are white like cauliflower and you know some things like that.

[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_00]: You want purple you want red you want green you want yellow vegetables.

[00:41:42] [SPEAKER_00]: You know you want a rainbow of colors because you will get the vitamins that your body needs reduce your inset your intake of salt and sugars in these visible fats and oils you know the best ones are to have avocado.

[00:42:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Nuts olives seeds those are healthy fats.

[00:42:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Very healthy fat and then refrained from all alcoholic and caffeinated vegetables those things really attack your nervous system.

[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_00]: And they also are debilitating to the organs the organs of your body.

[00:42:32] [SPEAKER_00]: We also want food that are high in cholesterol like eggs and cheese and butter and meat those things.

[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Those are high in cholesterol and they invite disease take time for a brisk walk after you eat exercise is probably just as important as what.

[00:42:54] [SPEAKER_00]: You eat so a good 10 minute walk afterwards and we're not talking about you know a fast paced one you know not real fast paced but something that is just just brisk and aid the digestion of your food.

[00:43:13] [SPEAKER_00]: So I would like to say about that and you know if we would learn to eat more raw foods in our whole in the whole natural stay you know the common ailments that we now have would be few there'd be less sickness.

[00:43:31] [SPEAKER_00]: There would be a fresher complexion.

[00:43:35] [SPEAKER_00]: There would be sound teeth.

[00:43:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Lustrous hair and vigorous build you know your body build and then perfect posture and natural graces of the body would present the strongest favor of natural living.

[00:43:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_00]: In the book of Proverbs Proverbs the fourth chapter 20 to 22 my son be attentive to my words and climb your ears to my sayings.

[00:44:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Let them not escape from your sight keep them within your heart for they are life to him who finds them and healing to all his flesh.

[00:44:18] [SPEAKER_00]: Ecclesiastes 1017 says blessed art thou O land when thy princes eat for strength and not for drunkenness.

[00:44:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:44:30] [SPEAKER_00]: End with that answer for your question.

[00:44:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:44:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Well I've got nothing to add.

[00:44:37] [SPEAKER_03]: This is the Sharon is comprehensive and there's more than enough information there for the listeners to take their time to glean and to feast their minds upon and for them to learn if they haven't learned any of these principles before now finally now as we round off this evening which I.

[00:45:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Really even I should say the most important point because we've given.

[00:45:10] [SPEAKER_03]: The listeners information.

[00:45:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Now how can they practically carry this out what strength what power do they need in order for them to put this into action.

[00:45:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Well I'm going to share that power but first I'm going to share one more thing from the book 10 talents.

[00:45:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Good health can only be seen by good blood which in turn comes from eating vital foods rich in life giving properties are creator who carefully and wonderfully made us also knew what foods would be best for us today modern science supports a plant based vegetarian diet as being the only thing.

[00:45:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Optimal diet the simple diet prevent a heart attack stroke cancer and reverse diabetes obesity and hypertension to be able to look and feel alive and healthy one must eat the kind of food that will give the body what it needs rather than what you think it wants.

[00:46:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Man is a fine network of automatic reactions that function best from raw material taken into the body rather than the highly refined foods so commonly eaten today.

[00:46:28] [SPEAKER_00]: The modern can opener and the fancy package dinners are fast taking the place of simple wholesome nourishing food.

[00:46:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm going to share some words from the Bible Psalms 139 14 says I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made marvelous are thy works and that my soul knoweth right well.

[00:46:55] [SPEAKER_00]: My substance was not hid from the when I was made in secret and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

[00:47:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Leviticus 1711 says beloved I wish above all things that thou may as prosper and be in health even as my soul prospered.

[00:47:14] [SPEAKER_00]: How can I change my diet after so many years of eating for my self gratification or just ignorant.

[00:47:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Philippians 413 says I can do all things through him who strengthens me that's Christ Romans 837 says no and all these things we are more than not conquerors to him who loved us.

[00:47:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Luke 137 for the God for with God nothing shall be impossible.

[00:47:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Isaiah 5811 and the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong and you shall be like a watered garden like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.

[00:48:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Ephesians 3 20 says now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us unto him be glory in the church of Christ Jesus throughout all ages world without end.

[00:48:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

[00:48:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

[00:48:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Amen.

[00:48:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Well sister Sharon we're going to have a break for some music and we shall come back with some closing thoughts.

[00:48:45] [SPEAKER_01]: My faith has found a resting place not in device nor creed I trust the ever living one his blood for me doth plead I need no other evidence.

[00:49:27] [SPEAKER_01]: I need no other plea it is enough that Jesus died and rose again for me my heart is leaning on the word the living word of God salvation through.

[00:50:01] [SPEAKER_01]: My savior's name salvation through his blood you need no other evidence you need no other plea it is enough that Jesus died and rose again for.

[00:50:29] [SPEAKER_01]: The great physician he used the sick the lost he came to save his blood can make the foulest clean his blood at home.

[00:50:52] [SPEAKER_01]: For me we need no other evidence we need no other plea it is enough that Jesus died he died for you.

[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_01]: For me.

[00:51:44] [SPEAKER_03]: The biblical diet sister Sharon can you share some closing thoughts of us this evening please.

[00:51:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes I think I'd like to share a personal testimony with you.

[00:52:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I decided to omit some process fats or all process fats and sugars from my diet.

[00:52:11] [SPEAKER_00]: As a result I lost 28 pounds.

[00:52:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm only about four pounds away from my original wedding size I was 26 years old at the time and I've been married for 43 years now.

[00:52:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Last night we celebrated our first date November 11 and we have done that for 45 years now.

[00:52:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Just yesterday I was asked by an old friend who is with his wife why I don't seem to age like most people.

[00:52:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I definitely do age but not like most people think that I should at my age.

[00:52:52] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm pretty healthy and I'm still limber and can move around well.

[00:53:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I've been on a plant based diet now for 35 years.

[00:53:05] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's all plant based I gave up the dairy about 35 years ago and eggs as well and cheeses.

[00:53:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I believe that it plays a big part.

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_00]: I wake up every morning and I drink 32 ounces of water.

[00:53:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Then I worship my creator.

[00:53:28] [SPEAKER_00]: I have begun drinking a fresh green smoothie of kale it's fresh made every morning of kale spinach and pineapple.

[00:53:38] [SPEAKER_00]: I put chia seeds and flax seeds in it with a little liquid stevia just to give it a little sweet taste.

[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_00]: It appears to help both my mind and my body.

[00:53:52] [SPEAKER_00]: My fingernails have improved my hair has improved and you know also as far as my vegan diet plant based.

[00:54:04] [SPEAKER_00]: It has restored my hair after a great hair loss due to COVID and the delta virus.

[00:54:14] [SPEAKER_00]: So my body's in pretty good shape.

[00:54:17] [SPEAKER_00]: My skin is very clear and most people don't see me as old as I really am.

[00:54:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I thank God for that because it is a testimony to others.

[00:54:30] [SPEAKER_00]: And I can say there is a great blessing in eating the original diet.

[00:54:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Man's original diet.

[00:54:42] [SPEAKER_00]: There's a great blessing waiting for everyone.

[00:54:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't have I'm not on any medications and I don't have you know any obvious illness that is detrimental to me in any way.

[00:54:59] [SPEAKER_00]: I thank God for sharing with me what he shared with me some years ago.

[00:55:06] [SPEAKER_00]: I did not know what the results would be in the future but now I get to enjoy them.

[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_00]: So that's what I wanted to share with everyone and just recommend you know trying a better way of eating and knowing that there is a blessing in it.

[00:55:23] [SPEAKER_00]: And there's also a curse in eating bad.

[00:55:26] [SPEAKER_00]: So I hope that people will take this to heart.

[00:55:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I have so enjoyed sharing this with you because this is one of my favorite subjects.

[00:55:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.

[00:55:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Amen.

[00:55:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Sister Sharon, should we have a well afraid to close this evening please?

[00:55:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Our Father in Heaven, thank you that we can approach your presence again calling you our Father.

[00:55:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I thank you for being with us.

[00:55:56] [SPEAKER_00]: And I hope dear Lord that your name was glorified and that you were praised.

[00:56:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I ask that you will bless every listener who takes this to heart and really seeks to do better.

[00:56:10] [SPEAKER_00]: And I pray that you will help them along because you have promised Lord when we put our foot in your path that you meet us and you bring us along the way.

[00:56:25] [SPEAKER_00]: So thank you so much.

[00:56:27] [SPEAKER_00]: And thank you for this opportunity of prayer and this opportunity to share with with my friends in England.

[00:56:37] [SPEAKER_00]: In Jesus name, amen.
